Nice place to come to on the weekend. Had tea and cakes with family. Gluten free option available which was great. Garden shop was lovely and decorated for Christmas. Will be going again.Food: 4/5
A lovely warm inviting space, breakfast was delicious and of decent value. Only thing missing is an unlimited drip coffee and it could really pull the crouds. We arrived at open and it very quickly filled with all ages. Great for a treat. Parking: Plenty of marking with 2 ev charger spots.
Very pleasant here, even though we hadn't booked we were lucky and got a table. We had a light lunch of panini and salad, it was delicious with proper ham and cheese. The menu variety was just right. The service was excellent and even though it was busy it was clean. Really enjoyed our lunch and even spent some money in the garden centre.
As a family we struggled to find a suitable venue for my father's wake. The potting shed not only accommodated us, but provided an amazing array of food. It was a beautiful spread and we were really impressed with the care and attention to detail of all the staff involved. Thank you xx
Visited yesterday for a light lunch, on arrival told it was "coffee and cake" only for walk ins as they were fully booked. At no point during our two hour visit was the cafe even 50% occupied. The girl behind the till didn't seem to have any knowledge of this new "rule" either. When challenged told "the chef won't take any extra orders". Didn't expect not booking to be a problem midweek, told it's because it's coming up to Christmas. Felt that we weren't welcome as we had two prams with us. Perhaps if you're expecting to be that busy that you can't offer walk ins the full menu you should advertise that fact on Facebook and we wouldn't have bothered coming. The coffee and cake was fine. Not usually the sort of person to leave negative reviews but it seems a nice place so it's a shame.
Warm inside on opening at 9. Very polite, helpful service. Prompt delivery of full English breakfast. Sausage the star on the plate and all wide choice of ingredients competently cooked. Good to be served a pot and not just a mug of tea.
We went for a quick bite to eat and it took ages to get our food. 40+ minutes for 3 jacket potatoes which is shocking. Plus they weren’t even hot when they arrived. They also forgot our coffee and brownie and needed to remind them. I don’t think we will be back. It’s a shame because it does look lovely and inviting inside.
Excellent three course Christmas lunch plus sparkling wine. Great tasting dishes, friendly service and above all exceptional value for money. Well worth a visit.
Great breakfast. Really good choice for Vegetarians too. The smashed avocado was brilliant. As was the Full potting shed breakfast. Quiet which was just what we needed. That was around 9am. On a Tuesday morning. Parking: Easy to park. Just on the left as you go through the gates. All the way up the The Potting Shed. With two electric car charge points.
Very nice food at reasonable prices. We had afternoon tea to celebrate a family birthday. The staff were all pleasant and friendly and the food selection was excellent.Food: 5/5
