Rude, cocky and unhelpful receptionist at 10am on the 17th of June. Just wanted to confirm, in case anyone ever looks at these reviews, although highly doubt it Website misleadingly states that no patients are taken on at the moment, except from within a certain boundary. We are from within the shown boundary, yet we were sent away. Do people a favour and update your website, shouldn't be too difficult, and make sure your staff is capable of demonstrating appropriate behaviour. Appalling
On Wednesday the 16th of March I completed an e-consultation at about 9:15am for a issue I had with my left elbow. At 11:36am I received a text from Dr Perry advising that he had made an appointment for a virtual assessment for me with a MSK physiotherapist for 2pm the same day. Just after 2 I was contacted and after discussing my symptoms and being able to self assess via detailed instructions I was diagnosed and a rehabilitation program was emailed to me all within 5.5 hours of my initial contact. Every time I have needed them the Portchester Health Centre have always been an exceptional cog in the magnificent NHS wheel for me.
Receptionist was very rude to me and had no patience. Was not at all understanding when I said I had fibro myalgia and a bad memory. They never give you their name so can't tell u who it was. They haven't made any effort to get my notes from previous surgery after being with them 4 to 5 months now and they've not even given me access to online services etc!
Always helpful. All staff very professional, I trust them.
Managed to get through very quickly. The doctor phoned me in less than 10 minutes and prescribed my antibiotics no fuss.
I am taking legal action against this practice for medical negligence. For weeks myself & my mother 80 have been trying to get medical support. Numerous times my mother phoned to be fobbed off . Or to be asked are you coming into practice. When surely their records show she is house bound. I finally phoned many times to get two nurses to come out on 23rd December. To give my mother the booster jab. They also gave her the flu jab. Not a good idea back to back at 80 & vulnerable. They checked my mother over as were concerned about her swollen ankle as possibly be start of ulceration. They said they would return they never did.My mother's health deteriorated over Christmas. First week of new year my mother phoned numerous times to contact Dr james perry to visit her. We finally got an appointment on 24th Jan. Which was still too far away. I went to my mother's house on Tues 18th Jan to see her collapsed on the bathroom floor. I called the ambulance and they took 45 mins to attend. Of which I had to administer cpr to her. She was rushed to QA hospital Portsmouth.where she has suffered a severe stroke and has paralysis of her right face arm leg and broken ankle. Also a very serious chest infection and weak heart. Plus lost the ability to speak. Due to stroke. This could of all been prevented if the two nurse's had come back. Or Dr james perry had come out sooner. I am taking immediate legal action against this practice and will be going to the national papers on this matter. Total disgrace. Added today Tuesday 25th January. Tuesday 25th January. I cannot believe it. My mother was rushed into hospital on 18th January. I telephoned the practice on Friday 21st January to let receptionist know what happened to my mother. I was put through to practice deputy manager. A lady Called Penny. However I was cut off. But I managed to tell tell receptionist that cancel Dr Perry. As now to late. To call on 24th January at 08.30am. As mother now in hospital. I am regularly going to my mother's house. I dialled 1471. It was Dr Perry calling my mother 08.48am on 24th January. Unbelievable do they not communicate in this practice. Also call was nearly 20 mins late . So my mother would have been waiting. A total shambles. Totally unacceptable.
In my opinion the best surgery in the area, could not be more helpful and thorough. Left my old surgery as the doctors there did not have an understanding of me and my symptoms. The two members of staff there who were good were the diabetic nurse who sadly left the surgery and the phlebotomist. Portchester Health Clinic is both friendly and helpful, would highly recommend to all.
I came to the Portchester Health Centre on Saturday with request to ask a nurse, if she could exchange for me my dressing after the surgery in the QA Hospital one day before. I showed an official letter and have brought my own , sealed dressing, which was given to me in the hospital to take home. Unfortunately I was told, that they are not a " walk in". I knew about it and only came, because the Westland's Medical Center was closed and I was hoping on their understanding and a human sense. I will never go again to the Portchester Health Centre. It would only to take about 3 minutes to take off my old dressing, which became separated after soaking blood from a cutter wound and specially the Waiting room was completely empty with no one inside!!!!!
I can not fault the service. Every interaction is kind courteous and proffesional. I feel listened to, by all i encounter. Stirling job and keep up the good work you all do.
Phone triage for a chest infection. Seen and examined face to face on the same day. Thank Dr Penny
