A staple of any visit to the moors. My Wife has been coming here since doing Ten Toes as a teen and it hasn't changed much. Food is consistently good, prices are average. But it's warm and always open. Plus you can camp. Loses a start ONLY because they now have a card minimum of £10. Which is absurd in this day. Change your providers if you have to do this.

We popped in to the Plume for some drinks after a lovely walk up to South Hessary Tor on Bank holiday Monday. The place was very busy but due to it's vast seating areas both inside and out we still had plenty of choice of a place to sit. The staff were efficient and polite and we were served and looked after effortlessly. As previously stated we only stopped for a drink, but I have personally ate at the pub before and their food is delicious and generously portioned. There is a huge amount of parking available and the place is very accessible from the main road in to Princetown. The surrounding area offers lot's to see and do in the beautiful Dartmoor region. Highly recommended a stop here. Welcome to all families, couples and dogs.

Came to the pub as part of a large celebration. Most of us had the steak which was amazing. Perfectly cooked to all our orders. Preordering helped us all. Later we had drinks in the bar after a walk on the Moor just a stones throw away. As a non gin drinker I really enjoyed trying all the gins on offer and finding some flavours I liked. Many other good drinks on offer. We stayed in the bunk house just next-door and prebooking breakfast made it cheaper. Lovely place lovely location. Also camping available with showers.

I come here regularly after walks on the moors. A great place with amazing history and amazing food and ales. Dog friendly and a dog menu.
