Just a quick post to thank Ben, Dave and the team for all of their hard work! The family have been around every weekend as its such a welcoming space to spend time in! And plenty of worktop space to create a family feast! Love the kitchen and cant wait to book in a new bathroom!

I’m not one to leave reviews but have to say I’m really happy with the outcome of my kitchen and bathroom, it really wasn’t what I expected either, I paid a little more than what I wanted too but when I’m offered music in my bathroom it’s hard to resist I must say! David and Ben seem like they have a love affair with bathrooms they love them that much and they will probably shout at me for saying that! The other lady was also very helpful (apologies I don’t remember her name) she called me on numerous occasions to make sure I was happy and also makes a mean cuppa!
Top service people I must say!

My Fiancee and I ordered a new kitchen, a matching utility room and a new bathroom from this company 18 month ago. The planning went well and they were very good when the remortgage we had arranged to pay for the work was a bit late going through, delaying us paying the deposit. Once this was resolved we were told the work would take a week and got it booked in for early September. We dropped the keys off at the shop and went on holiday, expecting to return to 7-10 days of work left on our house before we could start enjoying our new house.
When we got home work had clearly begun on our house, as dirty footprints were all through the front of the house, and tools were left resting against our sofa and on side tables in our living room. We had no sinks, and only the cold tap in the utility room was working. Our back yard was a dumping ground, as shown in the first picture.
I could write many paragraphs about what happened after this, but I'll stick to the major problems (the list isn't exhaustive, as I haven't got the patience to write down all the issues we had)
3 different sets of workmen were involved in fitting the kitchen, the first two either didn't turn up when they should, did a bad job, or both, and the third lot finally finished the kitchen on December the 1st. A week after work started Dave, who sold us everything at The Plumbing People, advised me that he was personally taking responsibility for getting the work finished to the highest standard and as quickly as possible, due to the shocking state our house was in at the end of the first week. I hold him personally responsibly for some the worst customer service I have ever received, as promises were repeatedly broken,  work wasn't done when we were told it would be, and workmen didn't turn up when we were assured they would. The third picture shows the quality of the finish Dave said would be top notch-they couldn't even get doors to line through on different units.
The bathroom was finished after just over 2 weeks, but not before the new radiator was left as shown in the second picture on a Saturday morning while my fiancee and I were out at work. This meant when the heating came on that afternoon the boiler emptied itself out onto the half -finished bathroom floor, then seeped through the floor into the kitchen on the ground floor below.
We hoped that that would be that, and we wouldn't have to deal with anyone at the Plumbing People again. Sadly 2 months later in January the oven started cutting our and burning food. The kitchen people advised us to contact the manufacturer as it was a warranty issue. When the Indesit engineer arrived he found the oven was installed that badly it was overheating, and this was exacerbated as the microwave hadn't been installed at all above it, it was actually resting on some off-cuts of bathroom tiles on top of the oven. He also found that the rewiring which the Plumbing People's contractors had done so the oven could be fitted hadn't been earthed and was unsafe. He had to leave the microwave on the floor, so he didn't damage the oven by putting it back on top of it, and ran an extension lead across the kitchen from the nearest socket so we could plug the oven in safely. We asked Dave to remedy this work, but given the shoddy nature of the initial fitting we stated that we did not want the same workmen, as we didn't trust them to do the job properly.  Sadly Dave didn't agree with me.
An unexpected death in the family meant we decided life is too short to keep having to dealing with companies such as The Plumbing People, so  we have paid for a local electrician and joiner to rectify the problems.They found the wiring The Plumbing People's contractors had done was taped up with packaging tape, which is why it was faulty - the last picture is of their "workmanship". I just hope no-one has to go through what we did with them. I paid them several thousand pounds for 3 months of hell which affected me, my fiancee and our families and I wouldn't wish how we were treated by them on my worst enemy.

I have used this company twice now, I like to use local companies so I wanted to buy my kitchen from them, it didn’t go totally smoothly as I would of liked but I got what I wanted in the end and more.  The worktop was late turning up and apparently the supplier was at fault, apart from that it really is beautiful and my friends think so too.  Of the kitchen companies these were of only two to turn up and they were very polite and came up with some good ideas, anyway I have just ordered my bathroom so here is hoping they are good at that too and things won’t be delayed lol

Really good design from Dave.  He had some really interesting suggestions which we hadn’t thought about and we now have a beautiful kitchen & bathroom which our family and friends love.  Thankyou all at the plumbing & Kitchen People
