Amazing service by all the staff and they were happy to book us in for a table at the last minute on a busy night. The food was delicious and really well cooked. Cocktails were yummy and very reasonably priced. It seems that they sometimes have live music on a Saturday night and the band that were playing were great and the atmosphere was amazing! Would definitely recommend!

Second time we've been with family who live nearby. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful (especially with our 7 month old nephew), food is tasty, wine is good (apparently the beers are as well according to my other half), and prices are very reasonable. We went recently for Pie and a Pint night on Thursday, and it was very tasty and only £8, with yummy thick cut chips, and mushy peas. Only very minor criticism is that while the sauces in the pies were really tasty (we had a mix of steak and ale and turkey and ham), they were a bit runny once you've eaten all the chunky bits, which left us in the tricky situation of really wanting to drink the remaining gravy/sauce, but not wanting to seem uncouth! I thought the shortcrust pastry lid was delicious and the rest of my group loved the filo pastry. We've had pizzas on other occasions, and they were really good too. Would definitely go again when we're next in the area, maybe for a Sunday roast.

A great place. Its a big pub and restaurant with plenty of seating areas. Menu very good. We had our Christmas party here and there was 23 of us. Plenty of staff on serving, the food came out very hot, and tasted delicious. There is plenty to chose from on the menu and although the place was busy we all had a lovely meal. They do different meal nights too, like pie night, steak night etc. Big parking area so you don't have to worry about finding a space. Highly recommend

Unfortunately we didn't even get to sit down. The restaurant was no where near full but most tables had "reserved" on them. No staff around to help us. Poor show at the plough tonight
