The Plough
"The Plough is probably the most famous Inn in England, situated just outside of Princes Risborough in Buckinghamshire near Chequers, the country seat of British Prime Ministers.Although Cadsden is just a tiny hamlet with few residents, The Plough is very popular with visitors from all over the world and is highly regarded for its no nonsense fare, of good honest food, plenty of it and at sensible prices. The Inn has a small number of high quality rooms for guests to stay overnight and is perfectly placed to enjoy the beautiful Chiltern Hills."

The Plough is a great place to include as part of your walk in the Chilterns. Make sure you check the kitchen opening times in case your walk is longer than expected. It has beer gardens front and back which are ideal in good weather. The Plough has a good range of beers and ciders.
This is our third time staying here and our last stay was amazing. The warm welcome of the staff when we arrived, the room simple but so clean and a fridge with fresh milk not the UHT version. Location is lovely and quiet. Breakfast was so good the quality of the bacon, and the way it was cooked was fantastic. To be honest I could not fault anything and this is not something I can say lightly
Lovely pub in the countryside. Attended a funeral wake there, staff were attentive and friendly, the buffet food was very good.
Beautiful little country pub. Great for lunch after a nice dog walkService: 4/5
A lovely pub with a warm and friendly atmosphere serving good food and beer.
Good quality "pub grub" at reasonable prices. The chips are particularly recommended. It was very busy when we visited and there were a lot of people passing our table as we were close to the bar.
Pleasant pub on popular walking route. Three beers available and the two sampled were excellent staff friendly. Food for lunch was very tasty but poor attention to detail missing horse radish on one dish and raw avocado was inedible on another. However apart from these issues the food was good. Deserves another visit.
Very pleasant but staff seemed to be a bit preoccupied chatting at the bar amongst themselves. Food especially the sunday lunch meat was cold, not helped by cold plates and tepid gravy, however the food was ok. Staff knew nothing about wines except for a scruffy hand written note.
Sunday roast ok but over priced at almost £20 per meal! Odd music choices which didn’t add to lack of atmosphere.
Good food, excellent local ales, friendly and helpful staff.
