We arrived (6 of us -walkers) at11.45 am and the door was open so we went in and settled ourselves at a table, and went to the bar. An extremely unfriendly woman came to us and said they didn't open till 12 an d we would have to leave! We asked if we could wait, and we're told 'no' as they were cashing up. We left and she locked the door after us. We were pre - walking a walk for a much larger group  (15 is people) and her attitude made us decide not to use the pub in future. If the door had been locked, we may have waited outside originally, but her rude demeanour has lost the pub future trade

I visited the Pig in Muck 6days ago with relatives .. I have to say that their meal was lovely ....steak and ale pies. However I asked to look at the gluten free menu....and I couldn't quite believe my eyes.
It was very roughly hand written...from what I can remember it offered 3 starters . ..... without the bread!  And apparently cauliflower cheese .   Without the cheese sauce! Which in my mind is just cauliflower!! 
All they have to do is get a gluten free loaf of bread and put in freezer until someone asks for it..  
And use cornflour instead of normal flour!! Its not rocket science!

Great place we go twice a week food very good, also have good choice for gluten free, if it's not on the menu just ask and they will try to accommodate you, we will be back tomorrow.

Best pub in the area. Excellent food and very nice locally brewed beer. Always a warm welcome.
