We arrived quite late on a Monday evening and ordered three meals. They were with us in about ten minutes and we enjoyed them. The steaks were cooked well.and the meals were plentiful and hot. The beer was excellent (doom bar bitter). The staff were pleasant and helpful. Prices were good and the ambiance of the restaurant was relaxing and warm. We had not been to the "Man at arms" for some time, and were pleased to see that standards were still good. Also nice to see that the loos had been upgraded since our last visit! Overall a satisfying experience.

1st impressions is that it's a lovely family friendly place with quiet areas for couples as well. The food is served within a very efficient and speedy manner. The food is top notch, loved the balance of spice of the fajitas to the serve of sauces. They are large portions and at a suitable cost... You pay to for the potion size the quality is the bonus. And... I don't comment a lot on coffee, but I just had a plain black coffee which seems a lot better than most coffee shops!!

Went for a meal yesterday evening
Starting my meal and pulled a long hair from my mouth that was wrapped around the steak I was eating. Having complained they cooked me a fresh meal which arrived as my partner was finishing. I was completely put off my meal and couldn't finish it. 
No apology just "it doesn't happen very often" shouldn't happen at all!!!!!
No complimentary drink or compensation.......VERY POOR 😐

Lunch service is always quick and the value is excellent. The menu isn't exactly adventurous but I've never had a bad meal. 
Large groups might struggle to all sit together unless you book.
