My experience with Mike has been fantastic, through a consultation he was able to do a thorough diagnosis of my issues around my hip and back looking at me as an individual and my needs as a powerlifter. After identifying the causes he put together a multi-layered recovery program incorporating stretching, and strength and conditioning. By following this I’ve not only been able to recover and am now pain free, but add weight to my lifts and become stronger enabling me to compete in powerlifting competitively. Mike’s expertise and application of science to an accurate diagnosis has meant I’ve been able to lift confidently and progress, couldn’t recommend him or his team enough.
I’ve seen Mike for a number of months owing to a back injury at work. He’s been great. Really informative, understanding, compassionate and just the right side of strict when it came to checking up on my prescribed stretches and exercises. I’ve had back and leg complaints for a number of years and after inconclusive tests and meds through my GP Mike has got me sorted. Thanks so much!
The treatment have received at the Physio Rooms with Georgie Brooks has been amazing!! I have had Back, Knee and Muscle problems for many many years and have seen many clinicians including Osteopaths, Physios, Surgeons but never seemed to resolve the issue. Georgie took the time to research possible causes for the constant relapses rather than just treating the symptoms i kept presenting with. After treating the underlying condition Georgie then prescribed a combination of Pilates, Strength Training and Massage. I am happy to say I am more active than I have been in many years and pain free. I highly recommend Georgie and the Physio Rooms
My partner Lindsay and I have attended Georgie's Pilates classes for several years -- initially as part of a group in Hove and more recently as joint sessions in Falmer. She is quite simply the best Pilates instructor we have experienced -- always clear in communication and guidance, she varies the routines well, while always being responsive to our individual needs. We would thoroughly recommend her classes to anyone, and hope to continue seeing her for the foreseeable future!
Fantastic. Had the most unbelievable back massage with Mike. Going to a beauticians with the sound of dripping water, a choice of oils and scented sticks might sound all very nice but you’ll probably still be aching all over a few hours later. Not with Mike. I’ve waited until a nights sleep before I left this review. And yep, first morning that I have woken up in while feeling loose and pain free. Brilliant!
I’ve been attending Georgie’s Wednesday evening Pilates class for the last few of months and it’s made a huge difference to my core, general flexibility, joint mobility and over all strength. This has helped me with my running and netball. I would highly recommend the class as muscle strengthening exercise is so important for a healthy lifestyle keeping your muscles, bones and joints strong and supple.
When I have had minor injuries after running, Mike at The Physio Rooms has always looked after me. From diagnosing the problem, assessing and resolving the issue to setting me a detailed recovery plan to reduce further injuries. The service is always first class. Dedicated, professional and always delivered with a smile on his face.
After receiving incorrect treatment for ten sessions at physio bodyworx in Brighton, I came across The Physio Rooms after a doctors recommendation. Mike assessed my shoulder and created a rehabilitation programme and after completing my 4th session I have made great progress and am well on the road to recovery after a long time of physical inactivity. Mike has been very professional and friendly throughout making the experience all the more enjoyable. Couldn’t recommend this place enough!
Highly recommended! I have without fail always experienced staff at The Physio Rooms to be professional, knowledgeable and approachable. The environment is pleasant, appointments generally run on time and it’s usually possible to get an appointment with the therapist of your choice within a short time frame. Tom has supported me through a series of stress fractures over the past few years, including steering towards the first diagnosis which was missed by other therapists and at times having to liaise with NHS specialists to ensure I could access the right diagnostic tests and follow up support. Tom is empathetic, extremely patient! and willing to listen to concerns and provide follow up advice as required. Exercises given are clearly demonstrated and progression planned out. Tom’s running-specific knowledge is of course excellent and always developing and as far as I can tell he is extremely well-regarded in the field. In between my fractures I have successfully run 4 marathons and any number of other races; something I probably would not have managed without Tom’s advice and guidance.
Many thanks to Georgie for identifying the cause of my persistent calf injury and for her treatment, strength and conditioning plans. I’m now confident that I know how to avoid it ever happening again. I can definitely recommend her and The Physio Rooms
