Lovely meal for my daughters birthday. Service was quick, pleasant and dietary requirements were well catered for. It was a very busy Saturday night, but the staff were really attentive still despite this. Food is plentiful, tasty and well priced. Can't wait to come backFood: 4/5
Had late lunch /early dinner here. We ordered from the specials menu and were not disappointed at all. Food was wonderful - beautifully presented, tasted great and portions were just right. Everything was cooked to perfection. Service was attentive without being overbearing. I'm sure the atmosphere would normally justify five stars, but due to the time of our visit, it was very quiet, in fact, at one point we were the only customers. Thoroughly recommend this beautiful country pub for a great meal. We will definitely be back if we are in the area again.
Shared a lovely meal here recently with my partner; the food was delicious and the service was brilliant. All the dishes we had off the Christmas menu were top notch and left us feeling very pleased with ourselves. I had a cheese and fig soufflé for starters which was delightful, and beef cheek and mash for main which was absolutely melt in the mouth divine Really felt taken care of by staff, without feeling rushed at all at any point. Cosy atmosphere, would definitely recommend a visit. Thank you very much to all the staff Parking: Free parking lot on premises, we didn't have any trouble parking around 5pm with lots of available spaces.
Expensive for a pub that seems to be run by teenagers with zero management. Tables in the garden weren’t cleared and there was rubbish scattered in the grass - Not sure why there should be a can of high strength lager, but the clientele shouting across the garden might give a clue. Some of the tables were falling apart because they’ve not been cleaned and painted. It’s a shame because it’s actually a nice garden. Just go to the Coach and Horses instead, which is what we did after one drink.
I have a bad habit of ordering a burger pretty much wherever I go. Burgers are safe - they're probably not going to blow you away, but they're probably not going to disappoint you either. So the question becomes, when the food arrives, do I look at everyone else's plate and wish I had ordered something else? We had a big family meal at the Peacock Inn today, and as per usual I got the burger. And when everyone's food arrived I thought, "damn, I should have ordered something else." Everything looked so good. Dont get me wrong, the burger was nice, but the other dishes looked special. So I definitely plan on coming back, and Ill do so with the confidence to try another of the amazing options on the menu. The service was great. It was a tiny bit louder than expected inside, which made it feel more lively than I had expected.

Absolutely beautiful pub. Really friendly and attentive staff who genuinely make conversations and make you feel welcome and valued as a customer. Jack, in particularly went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we need, without having to ask for anything. The food was lovely too but it is the staff who make this place special. We will be making this our regular from now on. Thank you to Jack and his lovely team!

Only scored 3 stars for atmosphere as .y friend & I were the only ones in there when we arrived, but got better as we were leaving. Great catch-up with my friend Liz, was lovely to see her only had sandwiches & a soft drink & coffee but sandwiches were great, would recommendFood: 5/5
We recently celebrated my wife's birthday at the Peacock Inn, accompanied by our son, her parents, and a special friend. From start to finish, the experience was nothing short of exceptional. The food was truly amazing, with each dish surpassing our expectations. Every bite was a testament to the chef's skill and creativity, making our special occasion even more memorable. A standout aspect of our visit was the outstanding service provided by Evie. Not only did she wait on our table with grace and efficiency, but she also served drinks for the other lunchtime tables seamlessly. Her attentive and friendly demeanor ensured that we were well taken care of throughout our meal. Thank you, Peacock Inn, for a remarkable dining experience. We will certainly be returning and recommending you to all our friends and family!
