If you are good with heights and steady on your feet the steps up to the tower are uneven then well worth going up to the tower. At £3 good value for money. The people working in the church were extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. A definite recommend!
This is such a beautiful church and its a must see location
Grade I listed church with tall tower, 132 feet. There's a Fishermen's Corner in the nave as a memorial to those from the parish who have earned their livings from the sea. Also, a board giving names of those lives saved by Winterton lifeboats. Open daily with parking, wheelchair access, but no toilets - though they are available at the beach car park.
Well worth a visit. We learned a lot about the church's history from a local lady who was getting ready for the sunday service. She was originally from Watford where we are from,. 40 years though living at Winterton on Sea.
The tower was open on Saturday so I took a trip up. Very steep steps but definitely worth it. The views were amazing.Great place steeped in history.
