The Crown is a student pub as it mainly caters to college students in Egham. Being the college break, it was quite empty when we went. I had called in to check on #gluten-free options, which I was told they had. When we went there, though, there wasn't anything gluten-free other than a pizza, though it was the best Vegan Gluten Free Pizza I had in ages! Frank I think that was his name took great care to check every ingredient was #Gluten Free and put on fresh gloves to make it. The drinks and food were reasonably priced, and the pizza was really tasty. I'll probably go back for the pizza and the care taken to make it. I'm Gluten Intolerant and didn't have any issue with the food.
Excellent staff, excellent service, excellent managment, pretty good food/drink depending on personal taste, but if you like the items available, you'll probably enjoy the taste of it. Only negative: the security on big nights can be confrontational and rude unnecessarily to generic customers. Would recommend to any newcomers.nnIf you leave behind/loose something staff are really good at keeping lost property. 10/10 all around
I don’t trust a pub with fake flowers. This is a rule I choose to live by, and I think others would benefit from this knowledge. The garden area is nice and usually lively, but the inside is dead. If you are looking to get drinks for cheap, it’s a good place to go, but it lack’s atmosphere and once again, fake flowers. Pizzas are good but small.
Had some food here and it was great. Really good quality. All sourced locally too.nnStaff are excellent and since changing thier name and ownership it has seen some great improvements.nnThey also have a working fire which was a really good feature that creates a great vibe and atmosphere
