Me and my partner went here after a long walk on a Sunday. The pub was very busy at peek time but lucky we managed to get seated on a small table just beforehand. The decor inside is really nice and more modern than what I thought it would be, yet the whole place still has a country style feel. Every individual of the staff seemed pleasant and attentive also which makes a huge difference, especially regarding how busy they were. On a hot sunny day it would be great to sit outside. Prices here are a bit on the expensive side compared to other places. However, the food tasted great, cooked well and served in good time.

A year ago I really liked this pub. My parents in law really like this place to (the live very close). However this last trip was less impressive. Now I must say that this place is normally very good and it's a really lovely location. Sadly the service for my last trip was a little poor, most the staff were on their phones and we seemed to forgotten most the time. My salad was just iceburg lettuce, no sauce.. it was rather lacking and unfortunately our 2 creme brulee's were not set. I feel like this place is likely to be amazing and normally you have to book a table because it's so popular, I think we got an off day. Top tip.. if it's your birthday make sure you sign up the mailing list. You can get a free bottle with your meal. And if you are over 60... You can get 20% off your food bill.

Very disappointing. Service was friendly and helpful and nice decor but some of the food was unacceptable. We were a group of 10 and although most had main meals a few had starters and a sandwich. The prawn and Marie rose sandwiches were dry, mostly bread and contained hardly any prawns which were tiny and obviously poor quality. There was no sauce at all in the 2 sandwiches and the thick chips ordered as extras were undercooked and hard. How this food left the kitchen we have no idea. As we were guests of friends we did not complain but unfortunately most people said they would not be returning.

Friendly and accommodating good views from the conservatory section of the place. Food delicious and average prices. Would come again.
