Your first appointment
Whether you are a new patient or someone who has been to the Oxford Clinic before the physiotherapist will make a full assessment of your condition at the beginning of treatment.
We will ask you to fill in a form giving details of any past medical problems before seeing the physiotherapist, and to sign a form giving your consent to treatment.During the assessment the physiotherapist will explain your diagnosis and the options for treatment. This first session will last 45-60 minutes including some treatment.
Treatment sessions.... Each treatment session will last 30-40 minutes. During each treatment session the physiotherapist will review your progress. Our aim is to discharge you from treatment as soon as you have made a full recovery.
The body should be able to auto-regulate itself in order to maintain a state of health, balance and harmony, to heal itself even after traumatic events. Sometimes this ability to adapt and compensate gets overwhelmed, and then the body needs some assistance to recover. This is where physiotherapy fits in. Treatments
Often one part of the body may be complaining when the cause lies elsewhere. At the Oxford Clinic we have a holistic approach to physiotherapy aimed at understanding and eliminating the root of the problem rather than treating superficial symptoms.

The kinesio taping method was invented in 1979 by Dr Kenzo Kase. After thirty years of research, development and clinical use, it is recognised as an innovative and high effective way of treating injuries and aiding lymphoedema reduction. Well known in the sporting world, many professional athletes now use it to treat and prevent injuries.
The tape is constructed of 100% cotton and elastic fibres. It’s thickness and weight are similar to skin, and can be worn for between three and five days. It helps provide effective treatment between visits to the Clinic and is safe to use by all.
Payment We ask you to pay the fee at the end of each session. You can pay by cash, cheque or card.
Fees The initial assessment and each subsequent treatment session cost £35. Home visits are £65.
Medical insurance If you have private health insurance please check with us beforehand whether we can treat you. If you claim the fees from your insurance company directly we will give you a receipt on completion of treatment.
