I had the opportunity to have High Tea at Kensington Palace with my school group, and the experience was amazing! I had the Wildberry Tea and it was for sure one of the best cups of tea I've ever had. The food towers were also delicious, with yummy pastries, sandwiches, and desserts. The china and glassware here are also gorgeous, making for a very delicate and aesthetically-pleasing appearance. I would 100% recommend this to anyone visiting London who likes tea!
Lovely setting at Kensington Palace for high tea. Food was delicious and service was decent. However, menu selection is very limited. If someone in your party does not like what is offered, there is little for them to eat. Items are also expensive compared to other places that offer high tea.
Beautiful afternoon tea experience. The tea and scones are very good. Service is fast and kind. There is a view to Kensington palace and it's gardens.
I truly enjoyed this place: food, scenery and service. They were all excellent. Sure, it is more toward the expensive side of the spectrum, but to me it was worth it. We ended up having a meal instead of their famous tea and cake and it was a pleasure
Booked the Orangery to find it is in the Pavilion, whilst the decor was pleasant it was nothing like the photos we had seen and expected. The Afternoon Tea was pleasant but underwhelming for the cost, finger size sandwiches and small bite cakes are the order of the day. The staff were attentive and friendly but at no time were we offered a top up of tea or asked if we would like a choice of sandwiches or have any preferences. All in all an experience done but not one I would pay for again.
I had an amazong experience !! I loved the tea and the food. At first you can't truly see how special the food is. After the first bite you realise it has so much flavors of fish, chicken and more.
High tea at its finest. Kensington’s Orangery served a very high brow high tea experience, complete with fine bone china, scones, tea sandwiches and lovely petit fours. The orangerie trees and high ceilings added to the gravitas of the restaurant experience. I recommend a saunter through the open landscaped Princess Diana Memorial Garden which are properly maintained. Lovely scapes for photos and insta-worthy views.
Booked as a birthday treat. We had a Royal afternoon tea, which included a glass of PIMS. My friend only drinks rooibos tea which they didn’t have. Sandwiches were a little on the dry side, the fillings were fairly ordinary, egg Mayo, ham etc; four small fingers each. Two small scones each and a couple of bite size cakes. You have to pay extra if you want some extra sandwiches There was no offer of extra tea, nor were we asked if we would like anymore drinks. It was a nice atmosphere, I would have liked to have had a better view of the sunken garden as this was advertised as overlooking it, however this was dependent on what table you sat at as there are high bushes around the garden with viewpoints cut out at intervals. I think if given the option to go here or to Harrods I would go to Harrods. This was pleasant but felt very overpriced for what we had compared to other places I have taken afternoon tea.
We had an amazing time having an afternoon tea, our host was super nice and all the waitresses the food also delicious and nice atmosphere
