Absolutely superb. This place is spotlessly clean, it's nicely done inside and out, the beer garden is also excellent. Excellent beers too, and our server Chris was beyond excellent. The farm fresh food see pic from Brood Farms was exceptional too. What a fantastic place this was, on a warm Saturday early afternoon. Thanks Chris!
I cannot recommend this place enough. The food is exceptional, the atmosphere is amazing and the service is second to none. The decór was simple yet elegant. We were waited on by Rob and he is just a breath of fresh air. His smile and laugh were infectious. Go for the service if nothing else
I had a lovely Valentine’s dinner with my husband and it was the best one so far. Robert was looking after that evening and I could not express how attentive, professional and helpful he was. I use to be here before when it was Forest but the service and food now is so much better. Not only my husband was advised on meals according to his intolerances without delays and double checks with kitchen but also the bespoke cocktails were made for us during the dinner. The steak was cooked to perfection, the market fish was absolutely amazing and can’t praise Robert enough for his cocktail mixing gift. Will cone back in regular basis.
Imaginative menu, attractive clean restaurant area, service attentive without being intrusive. Food was excellent, decent sized portions. Our menu mix-up was sorted out politely and amicably. Excellent well above-standard place to eat. Can't comment on the beer - driving :
Had amazing Sunday evening catching up with my bestie. We were pleasantly surprised by bartender Robert with his ability to mix the most incredible cocktails. Will definitely come back for the drinks.
Busy local pub on a Sunday afternoon with lots of noisy good natured laughing. Attentive bar staff and unusually the barman came and asked if we wanted another drink, trusting us to cough up as we left. Would recommend.... Have eaten there previously when it was The Forrest, but did not see menu this time.Service: 5/5
A breath of fresh air since Harry took over with a great team including of course Stuart in the kitchen. Really enjoyable food at very reasonable prices made even better with the friendly, attentive, informal service. And some great ales including Purity Gold!

Fantastic meal tonight, the menu and service has come on massively. The best meal we have had for ages. Totally recommend.
