Good food and lovely setting. Food is not cheap but it is reasonable for the quality. Service could just be a little quicker at lunchtime.

So disappointed. I love the pub and a few years ago the food was tremendous but it really has gone down hill. I ordered the Old Mill Burger. I expected a gourmet burger at £13 but instead - after a very long wait - I was met with a frozen Birdseye type burger in a rubbish seasame seed bun and McCain’s fries. I could of made it at home for £2. Thoroughly underwhelming and I won’t be eating there again in a hurry.

Had a Sunday Lunch here on4th February 2018. We were sat on a table next to the coffee machine which was incredibly noise? The window draft was also cold on my back. I had the mushroom wellington, which unfortunately had a stone in it around 10mm. I was very lucky not to have broken my teeth! When I gave the stone to the manager on that day, her attitude was that the pies were bought in and therefore it was not their fault! On reflection, I think this was a big deal as the stone could have had many other implications. Also all of our roast potatoes were so over cooked, they were just rickly and dry, which is very disappointing as everyone loves a good roast potato. I was very disappointed not even to be offered a complimentary coffee for the stone in my pie, mind you, the coffee machine being so noisy we would have all had to stop talking while it was being made.

Like others have said, the menu is small, but the food is always good and the service is very good. This is a lovely country pub - rustic and quiet.
