We went for the Friday jazz night. Took a while to get a server’s attention as the bar was packed but the atmosphere was great. It is crowded but you don’t feel cramped at all and the music goes to every room. I’d highly recommend booking before coming to secure a comfy spot. We booked and managed to get a table right at the front! We loved the band but hopefully they’d include more singers as well. Decently-priced drinks, I got 2 double mixers for around £12 each. Toilets are spacious and clean with many mirrors It is rare to find a live jazz bar with free entry and bookings on weekends like this! Will definitely return :
Fantastic grassroots music venue, best sound I've heard in ages, free gig with 3 great up and coming bands check out Speedial , 5 min walk from Liverpool St Station. Can't say fairer than that. NB. 0 s for food as I didn't partake, not sure if they even do food.
Wicked venue for a gig. Saw Karen Dio upstairs at the Old Blue Last. Great sound. Bar at the back of the room was easily accessible and charged expected prices. Build up a head of steam elsewhere first would be my suggestion.
Very decent place with a lot of live music on the "hidden" first floor. Had only some pints there so no opinion for the food, but generally i would recommend it as it is more vivid than the average pub.Service: 5/5
I went to see Hyperdense & Debt here and it was amazing! The pub downstairs is not the most underground place it is still nice though, but the concert felt like true punk! I will be coming back. I had a Guiness here for 7£, which hurts my Czech soul, but I’m pretty sure it’s a normal price for Shoreditch.Atmosphere: 5/5
Absolutely fun place! Prices are good for the area and jazz nights are a must. Friday is Latin jazz, very fun and Sundays is chilled jazzService: 5/5
Went on a Sunday for the live jazz 6-9pm. Great atmosphere, very cosy and some easy-listening trio playing. Decent beer selection but limited cocktails. Didn’t order any food. Biggest complaint is the espresso martini had small ice fragments in it and when we asked the bartender about it, they said that they had only one strainer and that it couldn’t be helped… so not worth £12. Other than that, makes for a nice evening.
Really great atmosphere here. Music was so good. I'm older than probably all of the other clientele but enjoyed the vibe. Music was more my era than the other people in the place. It's great that it resonates today. Really enjoyed the evening thereService: 5/5
Achingly trendy in an anti-trendy way, pub with music though patrons chatter means you need to sit frontwards. I asked for my drink campari and soda to be served long in a pint glass and was told it was against their policy.... Maybe the pint glasses have gone walkies, or maybe it's totalitarian inflexibility ...we will never know! Great pub with great vibe, thoroughly recommended for the authentic Shoreditch vibe.
This place sucks lol When you book the pub to watch the Euros 1 month in adv and: 1 they requests a £10 fee per head a day before booking or otherwise would be cancelled 2 they did not communicate that last entry was 6:30 even tho our booking was 7:45pm. We only were wary of how ridiculous this pub was so we went early to check. Even more ridiculous, they had the audacity to blame the third party booking system they used. 3 we had no table for us despite having a reservation so had to stand lol
