The Oaks Medical Centre

I've seen most of the doctors at this practice and they all seem pretty good to me. I also like being able to order my prescriptions online. Having worked in the NHS myself for 10 years I understand the pressures that they work under, I also know some people prefer to complain rather than understand and work with professionals.

I have never been turned away for an appointment. Always helpful and all of the Doctors I have seen here are very good.

When I read of problems suffered by others in trying to get an appointment and service from their surgery I am just so pleased that we are with The Oaks Medical Centre. Staff, nurses and doctors are first class and always do their best for their patients. I prefer not to go there in first place for we never call in to say how well we are, but good to know that they are there when needed and will look after us. Appointments and medication repeat prescriptions can be done on-line via Patient Access. A couple of small problems, sorted by staff, early on but we find the system ideal, especially booking appointments with our doctors. If a specific doctor is not necessary appointments are usually available next day. If urgent I have experienced the 'sit-and-wait' plus nurses are very helpful. Yes, we are happy with our surgery.

This establishment is an atrocity. When a patient comes in, fully insured, with something as basic as a cough and mucus, you would assume this would be received by happy nurses and staff. Unfortunately not the case on this April 4th morning of 2016. A patient came in, expecting to be treated or at the very least diagnosed. The exact wording thrown at her was, "We don't know what's wrong with you." They then attached a bill to her name and sent her off. Not even mentioning that there was an urgent care center nearby that may have been of some type of service. The child as it were, almost passed out and could have very well died. This is not a medical center. This is a building with four walls, a door, and a regrettably abysmal staff. Don't come here. Don't give them your service.
