Great staff and owners, very welcoming given the current restrictions. Very friendly regulars made two sassanachs feel welcome when we stopped by for a couple of drinks after a walk in the hills. We will return.
Fabulous welcome. Made to feel like a couple of locals. The craic, the company, the whisky and the music made a night to remember. Don’t pass by without calling in and bring plenty of coins for the Jukebox.
Note that this is a bar now and does not do food.
1st visit although have passed and wanted to go in for months. So pleased to have got there at last. Everyone was very friendly and included us in the football banter that was going on. Dog friendly too, so Rudy enjoyed the beer garden before going in where we ordered food. We will be back for sure as it is a local that gave us everything we want. Bar meal was the added bonus; freshly cooked, tasty, hot and served by a lovely lady who was very attentive.
Lovely staff. Not too pricey. Great food. Nice view. Recommended
I was cycling from Mallaig to Glasgow when I came on this hotel/ restaurant / pub. I had a simple meal of soup, bread and beer.... I thought I'd gone to heaven. Really friendly, good food and beer... what else would you want?
Absolutely brilliant..Greg saved our lives as we were let down with disgusting accommodation in another place..lovely quaint rooms with character..extremely nice people and very welcoming and friendly locals.we went back for a second night....booked up to return already. Dog friendly as well. Great stay and great fun..
My husband David, my 88 yr old dad Eric, my 16 yr old dog Buster and I found ourselves stranded due to bad weather on 21/10/20 The lovely ladies of this establishment came to our rescue in the terrible storm. They fed us and we stayed the night too, we were warm, and safe. We were even trusted with the keys to come and go as we needed too. All three of us got the ferry at 8.30am and we are now safe and well in Glasgow, tomorrow we leave dad’s for Derbyshire. We can’t thank you all enough, for coming to our rescue. My dad is telling everyone to come and stay at your place now. If we ever come to Dunoon again we will be sure to call in for a meal as the food was second to none. A massive thank once again from us all. Carol and David Wheatley, Eric McCready and Buster the dog x x
Friendly Staff and patrons "Quarter Gill" 35 ml measure. Stock of non alc lager and cider. Restaurent in the hotel. Good prices. Very reasonable prices. Lovely views across the Holy Loch
Nice little local - go here quite often, the staff are always friendly and they often have some good live music on a Saturday. Would like to see a bigger range of lagers on draught, Tennents doesn't really do it for me. Nice to see them stocking the Loch Fyne bottled beers now.
