We had my daughters 18th Birthday meal at this pub today. The food was really nice and the people that worked there was so lovely and couldn't do enough for us . Would highly recommend x
I took my daughters and grandchildren to have a meal and evening out. The food is overpriced. the fish was just wet and white with no flavour and didnt even look or taste of cod. my egg covered my piece of gammon, it was so small. will not eat here again vile food..just not nice at all.
Visited with a family member before Christmas when we were back in the area. Lovely, warm service from all the staff, great food with a fantastic kids menu at really reasonable prices. Looking forward to our next visit when we're back this way
Friendly staff, tasty steak, plenty of TVs to watch the game and lots of space for wheelchairs. Clean warm facilities and a welcoming atmosphere.
First time at The Shire Oak and the last. Shocking food, soggy burger bun, overcooked burger rock hard roast potatoes and we had to wait nearly an hour in an empty pub for the pleasure. Do not get me started on the £3.45 pigs in blankets side order, 4 small burnt bits which looked like they'd been found behind the fridge. Look I'm not one for moaning normally but this is a place to definitely avoid.
Just want to say thank you to all the staff for making my daughters 50th birthday celebration meal a fantastic night to remember couldn't have asked for more food was beautiful, entertainment brilliant really great night , and just to add a big thank you to Kira for putting up with all my whats app messages lol

We came today to bring my mother-in-law who is 92 & has not been out for over 2 years we had an excellent meal. Would like to say a massive thank you. The meal & caring of staff were outstanding xx we will be back
