Absolutely worst doctors I've ever known. I haven't been for about 4 years to this place, have a chest infection and have tried for about 4 days to get an appointment and the phones don't ring at all just constantly says call back later. My partner finally got into a que for me to have the call cut off when in position 3. It's more than likely because all the reception staff at the same melts that have work there for about 20 years and are stuck up their own are. The place needs knocking down with them all sat in it
Extremely unhelpful. Trying to get into contact with them and get stuff sorted feels like an impossible task. Feel like they have very little desire to want to help. They give limited options of resolutions where most modern gp's have these as a must. They pressure you into making the decision that suits them best and is easiest rather than what you are most comfortable with and what is easily doable but they don't want to do if it makes their job any harder. Seriously considering a change
Extremely disappointed at the doctors actually. Almost 2 years ago I was prescribed an antibiotic for an ongoing health issue, not sure which doctor prescribed it and for some reason neither do they covering their own backs for some suspicious reason. I've been requesting it every 1-2 months since then because it was working, until a few weeks ago where I requested it again and like always they prescribed it to me, only for me get get a phone call telling me they've made me an appointment with Dr. Walsh for 2 weeks later. I go to the appointment only to be talked down to and told that I'm the one in the wrong for requesting the wrong antibiotic. You'd think at least one doctor would at least check in almost 2 years, but no. I got not one single apology and was immediately dismissed when asking about something else that could really help me. Changing to Royton doctors asap.
The staff at this surgery are the most supportive i have ever had the pleasure of dealing with due to my line of work I liaise with alot of surgerys I have had issues on occasions but thats unfortunately life and alot of issues arise due to constraints that are out of the staffs control. I have been a patient at oakgables for 16yr and have experienced more positive experiences than negative, the reception team have gone above and beyond to support me and one lady called Vicky always manages to have a laugh with you whilst managing multiple tasks at the same time and remaining professional throughout. The issues with this surgery such as being unable to get through on the lines or secure a same day app or even one soon, are out of the control of the staff here as everyone knows it is a national issue. I honestly have nothing but praise, yes I may moan like alot others, im only human but credit where its due all the team at oakgables deserve it.
Very poor surgery. Several weeks wait for diabetic checks, when results finally come through they are out of date. Staff have favourite patients who always get appointments and post openly on Facebook their thsnk yous to the staff. If your face fits. Given up trying to book can never get seen
Sad to say that it's getting worse. Had a bit of confusion with my daughters medication due to a change of address. I ordered her medicine on Monday actually went into the pharmacy to place this and was told that the prescription should be with the chemist that afternoon. I didn't hear anything and rang the chemist Friday to be told they had nothing through. I called the reception from work this is where you could be stuck on queue position 5 at whatever time you call and for however long they like eventually got through to somebody who tried to explain to me what had happened... I was annoyed because I was never told and the delay could have been avoided. The receptionist was very defensive and made me feel guilty when I didn't know there was an issue. I really think the clinic needs to either review or train their reception staff as jugding by the reviews it's not just me that has had problems with them.
Possibly the worst local gp there is, you ring multiple time a day with no answer then when you finally get through you get no further than you was before it really seems as tho they don’t want to help you at all, “your nhs wants to see you” could be further from the truth. They send you wrong numbers for referrals and then don’t offer solutions too help you in the slightest. Useless
Why are there no other Dr's available. Always seems to be Dr Shanker all the time! Not impressed I was texted this morning being told I was not going to be called due to waiting lists at Oldham despite my issues been on going for 20 odd yrs! The comments section you can only fit soo much in. I had another problem which I wanted to bring up....now can't as the appointment has now been cancelled. Which I hope doesn't cause an issue with my health as I will be pulling the medical negligence card Fyi Don't fell in the comments box. They will find a reason not to call you so they can make an appointment available for someone else Shambles
the worst gp there in , the receptionists are just there gossiping and not doing their job .
Don't think I've had a single good experience at this GP from the 18 years I've been there. In the process of trying to find another GP to register at. Had to wait two weeks for an AFTERNOON phone call appointment only for them to call me at 9am whilst I am still asleep my fatigue being one of the reasons I needed the appointment and now I have to wait three more days for a face to face consultation, so I will have to take even more time off work before getting any help.
