Rang reception to chase a prescription that had not arrived. The receptionist asked me to re ring the surgery, using option 1 to speak to the prescription department. Then I was asked to ring back to the patient advisor line to book the appt with the nurse.nnSurgeries really need to understand that when we have made a call to them, they should take ownership of the problem, deal with it and call us back. We should not be having to chase pharmacies for prescriptions that cannot be obtained, nor make many phone calls to the surgery. This is not our job. It's yours.
This Practice is truly the best there is. They have been looking after my mum needs or 3 years. They are all polite, warm and professional. Lynn on reception is so so lovely and is a asset to the surgery.
It would seem the chance to get any help from anyone at this medical centre is governed by completing an online triage form. However even to fill in the ‘triage form’ there is another queuing system. So if you’re quick at typing between 08:00 & 08:30 or get it done before someone decides they’ve got enough forms for the day then you might just get someone to acknowledge the help you’re seeking. When I asked what if I can’t type quick enough to win this race what happens, I was told I could ring 111 or go to the pharmacy to see if they could do anything. This can’t be right can it??
This practise is horrible, i been on call with them for a whole hour for the lady to say one thing which was to fill in the triage form, why was it not possible for this to be known before waiting a whole hour, they not only waste my time the triage link never works and when i go on call to them there’s a cue of above 30?!?!?! Also when i get close and below ten people when on call the call always cuts outside. They do not care for anyone and don’t think their patients are important to them enough to listen to them about the system to make a change! horrendous treatment from staff too as we popped down to explain i need a doctors appointment but have not been able to book one and all the staff member said was fill in the triage form but with a horrible attitude! ridiculous Practise this is! i have been trying the triage form since 8 on my phone and laptop and still currently trying and it hasn’t work whilst i’m still on a call for above 30 people !!! One word for this practice is ridiculous!
The system in place here at the GP practice is not fit for purpose.nYou phone the practice at 8am to be told you are no 30 in the queue how can this be?nYou are then on hold working your way through the queue.nWhen your call finally gets answered after having been on hold in a queue for over an hour you are then told there are no appointments. How is this a system that supports its patients ?nTried the online triage no luck with that either.nSystem down or reached its full capacity within less than an hour of opening.nPatients have absolutely no chance of ever seeing a GP on a face to face appointment.nWent to my local pharmacy for advise condition was confirmed by pharmacist who then advised phone your GP practice and ask them to provide this medication on prescription.nFollowed this advise to be told by GP receptionist that I needed to go online and fill in a online triage which as I’ve mentioned earlier is a complete and utter waste of people’s time.nYou are advised to avoid going to A n E and wherever possible to visit your local pharmacy for advise but unfortunately this advise is then not acted upon.nNo wonder A n E departments are run off their feet, there are no beds and patients are in corridors waiting for hours and hours waiting to be seen.nAlso this week I was sent an online link for a health check but guess what that system doesn’t work either and has reached maximum capacity and the advise on that link asks you to phone the practice.nI fail to comprehend how the practice can think that this is an acceptable system and an appropriate system for its patients.nWhat are GP’s actually doing because they are not seeing and caring for their patients.nPatient care at this practice I’m afraid no longer exists.nThis system you have in place is BROKENnand NOT fit for purpose something needs to change PROMPTLY.nI really feel the practice deserves 0 stars but unfortunately this is not an option so I’ve had to reluctantly rate it 1 star.
