Came to The Nici a couple of weeks ago on a lovely sunny day for a girlfriend’s Birthday. We got seated outside for our two course lunch which was included in the spa day we had booked. We had the most fabulous views and enjoyed all of our food and drinks, including the happy birthday dessert which was brought out special for us! Highlight is the outside pool which makes you feel like you could anywhere abroad. Will definitely be coming back and recommending to everyone. The staff made us feel so welcome and really went the extra mile to ensure our visit was memorable. Thanks so much to The Nici Team X
Lovely hotel and good location... But we found it expensive!!!n£27 per night for parking!!!?nThis is obviously a resort for people who have money to waste!!nService charge doesn't warrant the slow service!!!nDrinks and food overpriced.nCoffee machine in room leaking plus only 3 pods for 2 people!! Ended up purchasing our own coffee and milk...nThis hotel needs to improve with service etc.nHad a nice stay but won't be recommending.nHigh prices deserve excellent value and service.
The decor, and location of this hotel is brilliant. The rooms were clean and large. We stayed in one of the suites across the car park from the hotel and it was lovely.nThe service needs improving, whilst everyone was friendly, there was often a lot of confusion on who was doing what, were we needed to be/do. For example at breakfast we had to wait to be served for a while and were not offered coffee/tea straight away - I would see this as pretty standard in every hotel. It's a real shame because the facilities have obviously had a lot of thought put into it. Having said that the sauna was broken when we were there and the indoor pool was freezing... but these things can be overlooked if the staff are welcoming, friendly and approachable. Not sure I would go back - not worth the price.
The Nici might probably be one of the best hotels in Bournemouth. The location is great you can walk to get to restaurants, city center, and the beach.nThe service is great, the staff are welcoming and kind. However, there was an issue regarding the phone in the reception. Because every time we needed something from the room nobody would pick up!nThe rooms are cozy and cute. Initially We had a problem with the cleanness of the bed sheets, but after talking to the manager she sorted out the issue.nThe breakfast does not have enough options and the dishes were not very tasty. I recommend having breakfast outside this hotel.nThe view and the pool were very beautiful. But the pool is very small for the number of guests who stay in this hotel.
So I think the hotel has potential for a day trip or meal out and it is very much riding high on its instagram posts, but for somewhere classed as ‘luxury’ to stay, it is absolutely not worth the money you pay and it has a serious serious lack of customer service and care. The amount of money spent is not reflective of the experience you receive and the staff need some major training. We stayed for our mini moon and we made them aware we would be staying for our wedding eve and on the day after. We even turned up in our wedding dress! Not one acknowledgment, no card, no note, no congratulations, no smile. Not the special attention we should have had. On check in we were told your room is downstairs and were not even shown where the stairs were. The other member of staff was heard uttering those fateful words to another poor unsuspecting member of the public ‘ I dunno I actually don’t work on this bit usually so I can’t help’… classic. We were told that our room didn’t include breakfast, we stayed in a garden suite, one of the most expensive rooms and it was a big treat for us, this shouldn’t have even been a thing! It should have been included- end of. Don’t get me wrong we loved our room. The idea that we had a sunlounger near the Pool but was still technically part of our room was perfect for us and meant no hanging around waiting for beds like others were doing. I’m just absolutely gutted we chose to spend our wedding night here. Thy night has gone and can’t be repeated and couldn’t have felt less special. The day trippers completely over run the hotel and they get better service, it would appear, than the guests spending hundreds and thousands. The jacuzzi in our room was nice too although the outside area needed some cleaning. The billing is done strangely where every item including actual tap water!! has a service charge, we were even charged for the beer that was thrown down my wife’s legs although this was removed when we brought this up during check out. We had to chase for bills and condiments and the service is so slow! Yet we paid for that. I would save your money if you’re considering spending as much as they are charging. Go elsewhere and pop in for a coffee should you feel the need to put pics of the Nici on your social media, you will thank me I can promise you that.
