Story

A vibrant bar located in Edinburgh's city center. The Newsroom boasts a large selection of premium spirits, ice cold imported beers, fresh fruit cocktails, a comprehensive wine and champagne list, stylish decor, comfortable seating, great home cooked food served 7 days till 9pm and friendly attentive staff.

Once the weekend arrives its time to eat, drink and be merry. On Saturdays the tunes will start upstairs in Newsroom from 9pm with one of our many talented resident DJs. Once you've tucked in to some hearty comfort food and chilled out with a pint in the snug interior of newsroom, it's time to head downstairs to club 511. Every Friday expect something different – from techno, bass, garage and house to guilty pleasures from our resident clubs XY, Etiket and Awkward. On Saturdays our tasty little family of house clubs will play for the masses until the early hours – featuring Souloco, Sounds of Soul, Mondo Loco, Motif and Pay it all Back.

If you want to start your weekend early, come and hit up the weekly Thursday quiz (9pm – Newsroom). It's free to enter and with a £50 prize which must be won every week – there is no excuse for not getting involved. Who knows…it might even fund the rest of your weekend at Newsroom and 511!
