Absolutely disgusting. Cod was greasy and chips were soapy. Poor staff. This didn't even deserve one star! Battered sausage was dry and tasted like dog food. Honestly, I could have made a better fish and chips myself! I strongly recommend going to a different restaurant.

The manager women was very rude to myself and my family and to her staff in front people. (Young girls) discusting women. We ordered a large cod and chips,side salad,two coffees and two cherry tangos to share between us as we were going for a large meal in the evening. A young girl bought our food over and said medium cod and chips when we had ordered a large cod and chips, she took it away then the rude manager women came over and said the fish is done by weight not by size when the man sitting next to us had a bigger plate, bigger bit of cod and loads and loads of chips. When the people next to us had finished eating she gave all her x3 children a Lollie but didn’t give my daughter one which niggled me, this was purely for the fact that we didn’t spend loads of money. £2.50 for a can of tango and the coffee I had was made with sterilised milk which was discusting! AVOID EATING HEAR! A NEW MANAGER WOULD BE GREAT!

Was treated very badly. Portion size was very poor. My Granddaughter was left out completely by the manager when she was giving out lollies to other children. A can of Fanta £2.50. You decide if you wana go there.

All the time I have lived in Clacton I have never visited this particular fish and chip restaurant. My daughter came down with her family for the day and we were hungry so we decided to try it out. The staff were really really friendly, and helped out with any concerns that we had about portion sizes. The prices were pretty much as you would find else where as we always watch our budget when going out to any eating places as a family. The food did not take too long to arrive, and people were still coming in as we sat at our table. We had fish and chips, savaloy and chicken nuggets with side salad. The food was lovely and we didn't feel rushed to finish our food, even though the space down stairs is not greatly spacious, but still feels welcoming, and clean looking. The young ones were even given a free lolly as a treat. The staff were on hand to help with anything you needed, leaving the restaurant we felt very full and saw queues of people leading down waiting to be served and and to be seated. Would definitely visit again.
