The New Inn

Delightful canal side 'time capsule' Inn dating back to the early 1900s. Easily accessable location just off the A5. Once parked in their off-road area customers are treated to the 'picture postcard' vista including The New Inn set next to one of the many canal locks along this stretch of the waterway. A well laid out pub/restaurant mixes the traditional infrastructure with modern facilities. Pleasant, sensibly priced menus (including specials choices listed in bar area), polite & attentive staff. Good Food portion sizes ensure you don't leave still peckish, my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed a Saturday Evening two course meal and bottle of 'house white' for around £40. We'll come back to The New Inn and sample more from their comprehensive menu options. The New Inn has outside table area adjacent to the canal, so, we'll time our next visits for better weather /summer time, this will further enhance the overall experience......maybe even walk dinner off along the canal tow path taking in the countryside views as well!

Great little pub set along side the canal. Food and beverages always on time and always yummy. Good atmosphere. Highly recommended especially in the summer when you can sit along side the canal.

Really kind and helpful staff who went out of their way to help 2 tired and hungry boaters on a very wet Good Friday. Thank you. Yummy food, clean, with a good atmosphere.
