Booked a 2 night stay in this lovely little village pub. The room was lovely, everything you need and a pretty garden. The food was lovely especially the full english breakfast was delicious. A pleasant stay. Our fault for not checking but disappointing to find that on our Sunday night stay the pub wasn't open! Rooms in lovely setting and clean and presentable. The bathroom was very tired and not a place you'd want to spend much time.Rooms: 2/5

Had a nice meal here with friends, had the vegan roast with veggies. They offered other vegan options aswell. Dessert option was raspberry sorbet for vegan. They had oat milk as well. Good service

Stayed for two nights. Friendly staff, decent menu, generous portions, rooms open directly onto beer garden, blinds at the windows would help with privacy, but overall a nice place to stay.Rooms: 4/5

We were in the area for a wedding and ate here twice. Lovely food and friendly owners and staff and roxy the dog   Sunday dinner was amazing,  cauliflower cheese best I've had for a while! We will visit again if in the area

I seldom visit Somerset, but each time I do I am overcome by its charm and beauty. In keeping with this experience is the one I've encountered on each occasion that I have visited The New Inn, once as an overnight guest and once for a function. Situated in the small, picturesque village of Dowlish Wake, it promises a warm welcome, food second to none, a memorably comfortable night's sleep and some terrific, well-kept beers and wine. The inn is at the heart of the South Somerset village community, and I thoroughly recommend a visit. I'm planning my next trip right now.
