All the team at the hotel were fantastic. Clean and spacious rooms with everything we needed for our short stay.nWe were made to feel special. Housekeeping was amazing when we asked for extra milk, water. Bar staff were friendly and chatty, made us welcome. Alex at reception needs a mention, he was the first member of the team we met, he showed us to our room and on the way told us the history of the building, pointing out interesting facts, also recommending customers favourite cocktails and his favourite dishes in the restaurant. An excellent member of the hotel team.nWe will certainly be returning.
The staff were amazing. The room was a little tight but very clean and very comfortable.nWe also had a go with the spa. It was great and modern. Emma, Alice and Grace were very warm and welcome. The treatment my wife says is one of the best ever received and loved it.nHighly recommend this hotel.
nnFrom start to finish, our experience at the Municipal Hotel was outstanding. A huge thank you to Annie, the GM, for her warm welcome and for introducing us to Hannah, the Spa Manager, who went above and beyond to create a truly special day for me and my daughter.nnThe spa was beautiful—relaxing, immaculate, and the treatments were top tier. Every member of staff was professional, attentive, and genuinely kind. We felt so well looked after.nnAfternoon tea was also a highlight. The gluten-free options were delicious, and the thoughtful addition of fresh berries was a lovely personal touch. Staff were sensitive , knowledgeable, and guided us through the tea menu with real care.nnEvery detail was considered, and the experience far exceeded expectations. We will absolutely be returning. Huge thanks to Hannah and the entire team for making our day so memorable.
Took a weekend break just minutes from home and picked the Municipal after hearing good things.nnStayed in a basic room - comfortable enough but the a/c struggled to keep the temperature down during this amazing spell of sunny weather. It was generally quiet except for bottle recycling at 6am on Monday morning.nnSpa was excellent. Spend 2 hours at the facilities before an excellent massage think it was from Elisa which was as thorough and relaxing as they come.nnHad some drinks at Palm Court in the centre of the hotel - great cocktail selection.nnThe city is on the doorstep with a great choice of restaurants within a 5 minute walk.nnHighly recommended and would come back again.
It was absolutely wonderful! I attended the Liverpool Trophy parade and, unfortunately, witnessed a car ramming incident. After facing transportation difficulties due to a lockdown, the Municipal Hotel kindly accommodated my request for a room, having been turned away elsewhere. Upon arrival, I received a warm welcome and a delightful cup of fresh coffee whilst waiting. A concierge then escorted me to my room. A smaller room was all that remained due to my late arrival, which was perfectly acceptable and I was grateful that I had somewhere to stay. The room was spacious, and the bed comfortable. The en-suite was lovely and clean, and the shower was easy to use. The main bar and lounge were superb, expansive, beautifully decorated, and stylish. The bar staff were friendly and created a delicious Old Fashioned bourbon cocktail. Prompt room service was provided as I hadn't eaten for hours, and I enjoyed a well-prepared pepperoni pizza. The next day, I savoured a full breakfast before departing for my train. I appreciated the noon check-out time, allowing me to relax after the eventful Bank Holiday. I extend my sincere gratitude to the staff for their hospitality. I hope to return and experience the spa facilities.
