This place is quite special. Firstly it's just a really nice vibe in there. Warm lighting, not too bright. A bit of exposed brick and an ample bar. Comfy seating and a menu that's simple, classic and excellent. The mussels were everything we wanted, so we had two. Juicy, tasty, with proper bread to mop up the sauce and proper fries. No photos of them because we were busy eating. And the sticky toffee pud was homemade, and pretty awesome. Lovely people too, and hard working.
Amazing vegan and gluten free food! The menu doesn’t state what’s gluten free but the chef was incredibly helpful talking us through our many multiple options. Would definitely recommend! The burger, loaded fries and milkshake were delicious
Nice atmosphere. music some evenings if that's your thing Fun retro decor. Student discounts available, and fair prices otherwise. They serve food although the kitchen was closed when we arrived 9 or 10ish. Good selection of beers, cider and spirits. And a small cocktail menu too. Seasonal I think.
The food was SO good. The portion sizes were way bigger than I expected, and the chef was so cool -- he came out to ask us how the food was, and even handed out some rad stickers. The mac n cheese SLAPS!
Great place for a drink or something to eat. The a la carte menu is so good, I highly recommend the mac and cheese! An easy no stress environment with greta wait staff and service. The steak is to die for perfectly cooked to the temperature you ask for! And if you need a kick to wake you back up after all that great food, make sure you try the affogato
Amazing beer, unbelievable vegan food, awesome bar tender. What’s not to love?!?
It's a tragedy that the rough and ready charm of the old Victoria has degenerated into this odious ode to gentrification. Despite the posh make over they only serve a limited range of beers on draft and if they even get a sniff of you being too local or being a patron of the old Victoria they give you daggers. But like I say a limited selection at high prices . Rude new clientele who despite their socio economic pedigree lack even basic manners and courtesy's for fellow patrons. Prices fit for a posh restaurant. all round All fur coat and you know the rest of it.
Belter of a munch! Got the Rabbit the Bruce burger for £14 and the Buffalo Chck'N dirty fries for £6 Pros: Awesome burger and incredible fries, absolutely amazing. Just good grub, even for non vegans. Cons: Menu is a bit limited and no hot dogs available. Price: As you'd expect for an upper price burger and dirty fries. Comments: Greater choice of menu would be good and also if customisation on order via the QR ordering is available. Return Visit: Definitely
Fantastic place with really really good prices. The student offers make already good prices even better. The waiter was very friendly and the restaurant had a good vibe. The food was amazing and was inventive, the bone marrow mac and cheese was delicious. Good cocktails aswell
Wonderful local gasto pub with delicious food, decent prices and friendly staff. We were there recently with friends and had a great time. I ordered one of their burgers and it was perfect. Will definitely be back.
