Good to be back again. The environment here is always wonderful and relaxing right beside the stream/river. Sunday roast was delicious but the veg were slightly burnt and the roast potatoes were a bit too hard on the outside. Desserts are slightly small. Overall it was still a great place to visit and enjoy the view.
Stunning location and equally stunning food. Not sure about a previous review saying the menu was limited? Great mixture of different dishes, my partner and I had different choices on all three courses and everything was lovely Staff nothing but great. We tried the two other local pubs in the area and this was by far and away the best.
Gorgeous pub right on the river. I can't believe I've never been here before. The ducks were very happy to see everyone dining outside. The trout was delicious and there was a great selection of wines. All the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. I'll definitely be back.
Very nice venue, lovely setting and the roast was really tasty. Not overly cheap, roast beef and a lager shandy was over £26 but heyho... The price of quality. I would easily go back. Tip... Watch out for the English mustard... It's hotter than Hades
An awesome find! Great location, amazing food lovely roasts!, friendly welcoming staff, dog friendly and spacious around the table for our 2 pups. Lots of parking. Can't wait to come back and sit outside next time and enjoy the views. Beautiful sunset. Will definitely be back!
We had a marvellous lunch here. The setting is beautiful by the river Test, a perfectly cooked roast dinner, friendly attentive staff and an amazing pud. Just the perfect place for a sunny Sunday lunch.
Nice place to come and dine. Very idyllic setting next to the river, it's a pretty large place with plenty of seating, and comfy seating at that. Large car park and friendly service. The menu had a nice selection of food and a good size meal too.
Wonderful evening in a beautiful location. The staff were very polite and helpful. Our ribeye steak was cooked to perfection, the peppercorn sauce was more of a red wine gravy but still very nice, will definitely go back again
Visited this vibrant friendly eatery for lunch and dinner and throughly enjoyed the experience. On arrival we were seated next to the river on a sunny summers day with tasty food. A must visit hostelry if in the area.
Lovely venue in a beautiful setting. Can't really fault this place except for the fact it's next to a main road and the food is a little bit pricey. But you are well looked after and there is plenty of room for well over 100 people to be seated.
