Excellent location and very good price. Well set out room incl a full size fridge! Big bathroom. Nicely decorated bedroom. Very clean. Ours bathroom was quirky, up 3 steps to go in. Just a couple of minor things. Shower head needs fixing. No shelf or tray in shower to put your toiletries on. Need a hook or 2 in the main part of the bathroom. Apart from that, excellent. Would definitely use again if in the area.
Really clean, accessible and quiet guesthouse in Southampton. The price is more than perfect for what you get. The instructions were sent by the host on time. I really liked the room and the kitchen, both well equipped. Besides, I like to be alone and not bothered, I found peace, no guests were intrusive at all. The guesthouse is only 5 minutes away, by foot to the station and 10 minutes to the city center, which is, again perfect! So a big thanks to Mark and Andy.
Andy and Mark are incredible hosts, the house itself was so beautiful and if you love modern vintage then you will love it here. It felt like I was home away from mine. South Hampton is beautiful and they were nice enough to let me stay in the house lodge while waiting to catch my train back home. If I am back in South Hampton am definitely coming back here.
Fabulous guest house. Plenty of facilities to use like communal kitchen and dining/sitting area. There are personal cupboards for food as well as shared fridges. The room was lovely with a spacious en-suite. Room service was provided each weekday which was very welcome. It is a 5 minute walk from the train station and everywhere else in the city is within a 30 minute walk which is handy.
Being greeted by Mark and Andy was an experience in itself, so friendly and helpful. Lovely decor and spotless rooms, breakfast was lovely and plenty of choice. Having only stayed the one night before I set off on my cruise, I would have no hesitation on booking a weekend at this desirable guest house.
Previous reviews say it all. This guest house was a sanctuary whilst visiting a relative in Southampton General hospital. It was so good to return to each day with easy parking and a quiet street during the night. Rates are comparable with guest houses recommended by the hospital. Highly recommend for a short or long stay. Thanks Andy and Mark.
Really enjoyed our staff at the Mayfair guesthouse. Beautiful room, cleaned to a high standard, with a very comfortable bed. Just a short walk in to the city centre. Parking available on the drive although I also believe these street parking was free also.
Lovely friendly hospitality and a beautiful guest house. Everywhere was immaculately clean, warm and comfortable. Every want and need thought of, down to the cotton wool and cotton buds. Really lovely find and exactly what I needed for an over night stay.
Very impressed with the room. It was well thought out with all the little extras frequently missing these days. The shower was lovely, and the location was perfect for the town centre. The communication was easy and clear.Rooms: 5/5
Loved my stay here! Everything is super clean and it feels really fancy to stay here. What a luxury. Everything is provided that you could wish for, from shampoo and towels to coffee and biscuits in the morning. Definitely worth the price.
