Brought the mother here for some nostalgia. Had a picnic n then it went a bit rainy but the man who took us on the beaulieu river cruise kept the spirits high. Well kept areas and some great knowledge available throughout. Was a lovely afternoon :
This is a beautiful place. We visit everytime we are in the area. A river cruise is a great way to see more of the estuary and watch the birds on the nature reserve. Nice walks round about too
A very beautiful and interesting place. Very well cared for. The boat trip though short was very informative and pub lunch excellent!
I had a great day here but the weather was perfect for me. Not a lot to do for the entry price if you have a dog as you can't go in the exhibition rooms but I suppose that's to be expected. Very detailed museum. I enjoyed the cafe garden. Popular pub. There are guides in period costume. Superb views really add to the atmosphere.
Interesting history, lovely location with lots to see and do. Enjoyed the river cruise too with friendly crew..Cafe food was good as we had a lovely cream tea.
There is a nice woodland walk from Beaulieu to Buckler's Hard alongside the Beaulieu River. It is also possible to take a cruise along the river. Buckler's Hard itself is basically one street lined by old, terraced houses running down to the river. There is also a good pub and a small maritime museum.
Steeped in history. It's a must to visit. Well worth the money. £7.50 .The museum was great. And the viewing of the cottages. The boat trip was good. The shops were nice. Staff friendly. Nice Inn for drinks and food. I want to go back
Such a great historical place. The place provided the perfect backdrop to reading my book about the 18th century, Whitby Collier the Endeavour. You can have a drink without paying to go into the museum but you’d be a fool not to read up about the places history. 10/10 from me.
