Good was delicious but portion sizes exceptionally small. Location makes it a nightmare for getting to, especially for daytime events as traffic if you have to drive adds significantly to commute times last visit added over 1 hour to travel first 8km. Staff were lovely, venue is special and has that feel to it, overall a very pleasant experience
It was very good to visit this beautiful and building, intimately linked with the civic history of the capital of Ireland since the early 18th Century, today. The occasion being a Nature in the City panel and Q&A event brilliantly initiated by the current Lord Mayor of Dublin. The event I attended took place in the stunning surrounds of the Oak Room. Here, the oak wainscoting walls hold three major oil paintings, with the main one, in the centre of the east wall, being of the internationally renowned Irish patriot and lead of the late 19th Century Home Rule movement, Charles Stewart Parnell. On the walls are presented the coats of arms of the Lord Mayors of Dublin. A place of real Dublin and national history, which if you have the chance to visit, mustn't be missed! The Mansion House staff were magnificent in their support to the event organisers and all attending.
Beautiful Lord Mayor House is located in city centre - Dawson Street. It's dating from 18th century, and it's one of the oldest buildings in Dublin. Tour is possible as well, you'll have to check official website and to follow all of the steps to book the tour. Photo is taken during Christmas Holidays 19.
Retirement function for City Council staff. Lovely evening. Great food. Friendly staff. Great music and especially good to catch up with former colleagues and friends in a lovely historic building.
Fabulous place, steeped in history. The staff are so friendly, welcoming and helpful. More people should experience this jewel in Dublin's crown.
Lovely venue The Oak Room where some lucky residents of Dublin get a chance to meet with the Lord Mayor.
This venue might be nice but it certainly holds conservative and narrow minded views of past century. Canceling educational events that benefit masses just because someone in power is very old fashioned and narrow minded is poor form. Learn and do better!
The Mansion house is an events venue, in the center of Dublin, with easy access. Lensmen Photography and Video has done some photography with them. It's a great large, open space to hold conferences. The architecture of the house provide us with nice photos.
Service: fast, but unfriendly. Location: just for dinning terrible - the acoustic of a huge big hall makes it impossible to understand each other. Price: there is a service charge of 10% - the waitress doesn't need to be friendly. Food: posh price, Taste: - the only good thing - all dishes were well prepared. Worst: seating time of two hours.
