Booked 1 night B&B following recommendation from friends with 14 nights car parking whilst abroad. Manchester Airport car parking has worsened in recent years so we were looking for a suitable alternative. I'd highly recommend this accommodation for the high standard of comfort with gorgeous room decor. Complimentary toiletries in the bathroom were not regular but seemed quite high end. We were late checking in & early checking out but the night clerk took our breakfast order which he delivered promptly to our room. Lovely crockery & cutlery & good selection of food available. Convenient location for quick transfer via taxi to the airport. We were upset we didn't have longer at this gorgeous place & will definitely be visiting again! Highly recommended
We chose the Bulls Head because of it's proximity to Manchester Airport combined with price. It was a great choice. The rooms in the hotel were clean and updated. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was in the pub and parking was included. The pub was also updated, but in a comfy style. The food and service and drinks were all fantastic. With only two of us we didn't need a table reservation, but you might need one for a larger party on a busy weekend evening. Will definitely come here again for an airport stopover.
After making a mistake in booking the Bulls Head in London, the Hale Barns team made a great effort in accommodating us for Sunday lunch. It was my wife and sons Birthdays so would not have gone down well especially as we had my 90 old dad with us. Staff very friendly with great service and food. Thank you all so muchService: 5/5
What a wonderful find. We had to find somewhere to stay for a night at very short notice. What an amazing find! Fantastic rooms, the friendliest staff and superb food. Everyone was so helpful and understanding. We will definitely be booking again whenever we fly from Manchester. A huge thank you to everyone working here.
Had a christening party at the bulls head in the function room, we had a wonderful time, Dave welcomed us on arrival, everything was perfect, the buffet food was amazing. Thankyou for a great afternoon and highly recommend the venue.Service: 5/5
we stayed here for the weekend as we were meeting up with relations. the hotel was superb, clean and just what we needed. the little things made our stay, the fact that they had pots of tea bags instead of little packet ones, the pot of sugar sachets instead of a few on a stand, the milk in little flasks in the reception area we thought we ideal and saved having to bug the staff for extras all the time. The pub next door was fantastic, with a warm welcome from staff who were very attentive and approachable, nothing was too much trouble, especially Sophie. the food was great, if i had to pick a negative then it would have been the fact that the bacon at breakfast is smoked and no unsmoked available as an alternative.
Our experience while staying at the Bulls Head was most memorable. It was a return visit where we were made to feel most welcome once again, like family. The room was impeccable and quiet. The food was exceptional, dinner and breakfast were delicious and fresh. There were many selections on tap - delightful! The hospitality was outstanding to say the least. The local folks were friendly and enjoyable to be around. A special shout out to Tracy who went above and beyond making sure that we were well taken care of. Not only did she make sure our taxi was on time, she insisted we were well fed to start our day. We wanted for nothing. Tracy made our stay very special. Thank you! We will return for sure.
We didn't stay here so can not comment on the rooms, we were here for Sunday lunch, after fitting us in we hadn't pre-booked Father's day I had the pork belly which was super nice and tender. The wife had the hunters chicken, which was nice, and my mother had the chicken strips salad, which was spicy. Our son had the chicken tenders nice to see proper mini chicken fillets used for these and not that processed chicken. The service was great. Everybody was polite. We will be coming back here again.
Really disappointed with our recent visit for Sunday lunch. I had booked over a week in advance for a table of 8, for a family get together. Upon arriving, we were not greeted by any member of staff although there seemed to be a lot of servers just milling around talking to each other. After becoming tired of waiting, I then approached a server and they went to seat us, only to take us up upstairs for our table to be given to another family, one of the waiters asked if we could move back downstairs, but this would cause hassle for my elderly grandmother going back down the stairs. We were stood in the dining room aimlessly until one server used their initiative and pushed two smaller tables together… not a great start! Once seated, the server stated that multiple food choices were unavailable due to selling out which is disappointing as it was only just after 5 o’clock on a Sunday afternoon. Once we did order, the portion sizes were less than generous and items were either missed off onion rings from the burger, or late sides of chips/calamari. The desert was also less than impressive and looked as if it had just been slopped on the plate. This was also missing ingredients. Not once did a server check in with us to ask how our meal was going or if the food was up to standard. To make it even worse, three out of the seven family members have experienced food poisoning through the night after eating the chicken. Very poor experience. We have loved coming here as a family over the years but sadly, our experience yesterday has left us utterly disappointed.
Excellent- only negative in my own opinion was the mattress, but other than that, couldn’t fault anything. Great food, great staff, fabulous location, convenient for airport and city as well as other attractions. We will definitely be back soon as we use Manchester airport plenty. Rooms: Fabulous value, just could do with a more comfortable mattress. Nearby activities: Plenty to do in close proximity and the airport is Les than 10 minutes away Food & drinks: Amazing and great value. Guinness is a bit on the expensive side though!! Noteworthy details: Convenient for the airport.
