I visited The Loaf on Saturday 21st January. We had seen reviews online and had been looking forward to visiting for breakfast/brunch. On arrival unfortunately no tables were available so we elected to wait inside for seating to become vacant. There is a seat in the corner of the shop adjacent to the counter that you can use as you wait and the friendly shop assistant asked us would we like a drink as we wait, we took her up on the offer and noticing that only one cheddar and stout sourdough loaf was left on the shelf asked would it be possible for them to remove it from sale and hold it behind the counter until we had eaten and was leaving? Once again the assistant was happy to help. Fortunately we did not have to wait long approximately 5 minutes for a table to become vacant. The menu had numerous delicious sounding dishes available and between the three of us we elected to have the rarebit and poached egg, avocado and grilled halloumi and creamy garlic mushrooms all of which were served on toasted sourdough. The food was delicious and all of us enjoyed what we had ordered, the quality of the tea and coffee was also fantastic and the service was excellent throughout. In addition to the bread, pastries and cakes the bakery also has some fantastic looking preserves and other deli items for sale. I would definitely recommend visiting this establishment if you are in the area. Thank you for our delicious brunch and see you next time we are in the area.
I absolutely love having breakfast here before we go on to Crich Tram mumsem, which is nearby. Coffee is always great friendly staff. The sausage rolls are full of sausage meat like a proper sausage roll.Food: 5/5
Loaf are one of our suppliers! Their customer service is first class, their bakes are phenomenal! We’ve been a couple of times for brunch and the service and food is exceptional.
A heartfelt thanks to the staff at Loaf. Today was our first visit, which was a busy Saturday morning. Someone had taken the table we had waited for which initially put us off; my son is autistic so the waiting was upsettling him and it frustrated us that someone felt inclined to que jump. The staff were excellent in recognising the situation and helping us quickly find another table and making us feel welcome. I'm glad that we didn't leave as we had a lovely brunch; the deli sandwiches, cakes and coffee were delicious Great atmosphere and staff were so friendly. Lots of people coming to pick up their weekend bread orders and the staff knew each and every person. It's lovely to see a thriving business with top notch customer service. I'll definitely be looking at the bread home deliveries too. I'll certainly be back, thank you again
Excellent bread, cakes, pastries and coffee. Well worth a visit.Food: 5/5
We used the Loaf’s delivery and by accident collection service via text. We ordered loaf boxes and various items to be delivered to ourselves and our in-laws. The service provided by Suzie and the team was really good, the food itself is fresh and so tasty. With excellent feedback to all those we shared it with. I can’t wait until lockdown is lifted so we can go and try The Loaf’s cafe facilities. Thank you again, you’ve been brilliant!
We've had the Loaf products before because they used to be stocked in our village shop - we developed quite the taste for the Crich Square! We visited the Loaf in Crich today for the first time, and were so impressed! We purchased our usual Crich Squares, and a fruit loaf too that looked gorgeous. We even got to sample a lovely almond pastry type treat that they had on the counter. The lady that served us was so kind and friendly; she really was lovely. Will definitely be back! Just wish it was a bit closer to us!
Lovely place for a cuppa n cake. Great choice of breads and other bits too. Well worth a visit
