Nice old country pub, off the beaten track. However service is slow but this is because they claim food is cooked fresh, none of our party (6 of us) agreed with this. It's also quite expensive for the portion sizes and quality of food. The service behind the bar, particularly one lady was quite uninviting, yet the table service was lovely and professional.

Really nice Pub, been going there since I was 8! Friendly owner, she always has time for a chat! Nice for those who go hiking and an open log fire is always cosy

Great service - really went the extra mile. We arrived 5 minutes before end of lunch service but we're allowed to order main courses. Beer kept very well too.

Excellent timber-framed pub in a truly bucolic setting. Lovely location with good views of the surrounding countryside, plus a garden in which you can sit and drink. Interior is low-ceilinged and dimly lit, which adds to the rusticity of the place. Always four cask beers on the bar; the meals tend to use locally-sourced produce and meats, and of the highest quality. The portion sizes tend to be large too. Highly recommended.
