Small pub worth a good sized restaurant.  We were there for a buffet which was very good.  Small selection of ales but the one I had wad week kept and well presented. Full of charm but a dozen people will fill the bar.

What a welcome surprise this place turned out to be. 

Tuesday night was very quiet and with a bit of jovial banter we were seated immediately. 

Nice setup, comfy chairs with lit candles on all the tables. 

The menu is pretty large and varied with something for most tastes. 

We had the house soup of the day for starters - clearly freshly made and very tasty, served with a bread roll. 

I had the mixed grill for main - rump steak, gammon steak, two sausages, pork loin, half a grilled tomato, 3 onion rings, peas and some lovely crisp home style chips. It was delish and well worth £12.95.

For dessert I had the hot chocolate goo pudding with custard and it was absolutely lovely - definitely have that again. 

The woman that served us was great fun, shared some history of the building and was very attentive throughout our meal. 

Three course meals for 3 with drinks and excluding tip came to just over £69.00.

Good food, easy to get to and plenty of parking. Good value for what you pay! Sraff were lovely too! :)

Not bad for a quick bite. Food quality in general is average, service also average didn't check for more drinks mid meal. Wasn't busy either but in general very survivable but probably wouldn't recommend.
