Can’t say I’m at all pleased with the booking procedure of this centre… first of all there’s no option to book a basketball court online which means you either have to physically go in or book over the phone. I tried to book a court for December 21st two weeks ago on the 7th and I was told I could only book 7 days in advance or 5 days in advance as a member which I find ridiculous because i was happy to pay the full price of my booking with a no refund option so why does it matter how far In advance I book? Eventually I managed to place the booking once the 5 days in advance had arrived, when booking I was not given any kind of email confirmation, which I admit may have been my mistake for not asking but I specifically specified that I wanted my booking for “This Sunday” which was the 21st of December. When arriving at the centre for what i thought was my booking, I was told there was no booking there in my name for said time. Turns out they had mistakenly booked me in for the day prior on Saturday and assumed I “missed” my booking. They had incorrectly booked me in and I had a group of friends who were all expecting a basketball session that afternoon and the staff made no effort to even rectify the situation, brushing it off like it was not their issue. Thank you to Steph, the only one at reception who actually tried to locate our booking after being told we didn’t have one & then even tried to call another local centre for us to offer us a solution after realise the error they made. But the other staff were completely unhelpful from the moment they told us we don’t have a booking for today. Really disappointing because it is a very nice and clean centre, just lack of staff competency and empathy.

The management needs to change. I had been going to yoga, the people were always the same. As soon as the option to book the class came, they all booked it and only couple were true yogi. I felt judged and singled out as a man going to groups because predominantly it was elderly women, one of the instructors kept talking the whole time during the session and I couldn't get relaxed so I avoided her class. The man who done the pilates was decent and so was angela. But the main problem is how dirty the gym was, im 13 stone 5.8 and people kept commenting on my weight fluctuations. Im not skinny but im not overweight. I done because I wanted to enjoy yoga not to spend every session with same people hogging the whole group. If you are elderly yes its great that you keep healthy but can you have some respect for other people that want to book yoga, pilates and other activities as it's not a elderly social gathering. It's for EVERYONE. On top of that because they all knew each othere only a couple people made me feel welcome. Some even said because im new I have to go because they want to have the class because they're more advanced and been doing it longer! Well obviously you've been doing it longer because you've reached retirement age and you and all your friends have continually booked all the sessions every week so no one can do the class and begin a hobby. Im not forever checking my phone to see if someone has cancelled and then because I complained about this the gym brought back the cancellation fee as im paying alot of money each month to constantly look at my phone to see if I can do it, literally 2 hours before the class started, people cancelled and there were about 8 slots free. And who wakes up at 6am to check if they're gym has slots free. Actually wasted alot of money and energy on this place to be judged and treated like outsider because they all use the gym as a social gathering and what doesn't help is the cafe. They would all sit there for hours chatting away because they have nothing else to do. Selfish behaviour
Lovely centre. Shame that people have seemingly started destroying the shower and toilet areas already. It is EXTREMELY cold walking back to the locker rooms. Oh snd ladies public changing.. not a good idea. I think you need family changing nearest to the pool.
Good gym feels can be a bit crowded at times having to wait on machines and changing room and washrooms should be maintained regularly
