Vibrant and dynamic cultural centre. It's a must-visit destination for anyone interested in theatre, cinema, or contemporary art. A great addition to Manchester's cultural scene. The gallery showcases contemporary art exhibitions from around the world, with a focus on local and emerging artists. The exhibitions change regularly. The restaurant offers a diverse menu. It's a great place to enjoy a meal or a drink before or after a performance. Their cinema is one of my fav. It showcases independent and international films, as well as classics and cult favourites. Comfortable seating, excellent sound with a bar serves drinks and snacks.
We payed a visit to Home for a light lunch. There is a bar and food area on the ground floor, a restaurant on the first floor, but we ate on the terrace on the second floor. I chose the Welsh rarebit from the vegetarian menu. It was delicious and really filled me up. A lovely view to be had from the terrace as well.
First visit to Home in September 2022 to watch Prima Facie in the cinema. Really enjoyed the show and the venue. Comfortable seats in the cinema, nice atmosphere. Nice bar area to have a drink in and also a place to eat. Will be returning.
HOME is a really nice performing arts space. As a first-time visitor, to see 'The Merchant Of Venice 1936' in March 2023, I was very impressed. The theatre space Theatre 1 is welcoming and intimate, with comfortable seating and good views & acoustics. The café and restaurant are popular with non-theatre goers, too.
Home is on the site of the old Gasworks. In the late 1970's a lot of LPG was stored here. Risk assessment suggested that the IRA could take out most of the city centre with a well placed bomb. I worked opposite. Would have been a goner. Amazing to see the area now buzzing. The bar served excellent real ale. I had Strange Times Blond; the boss a coffee cocktail. It is a trendy area and Home is basically the cinema foyer bar.
Home must be up there with the best places I have visited. The atmosphere is warm and friendly, the food is excellent and at good prices, the staff couldn't do more for you if they tried. This place has everything a theatre can offer with a top rate dining experience. If you haven't been then go and try it out, you won't be disappointed. If Theatre isn't for you then just dine there.
Just had a lovely light lunch here. Outstanding! Fantastic service and the food was amazing. I had the BLT sandwich and Victorian Lemonade. Simple and perfect. Great atmosphere, very relaxing and really enjoyed it.
Very nice, it's got a theatre, cinema, bar, resturant. Decent. Top tip use the toilets upstairs for no que.
Detailed review below Food Atmosphere Accessibility Cost Service Came here to watch a movie at the cinema but stopped for food at the restaurant on the first floor before the screening. It wasn't busy and service was fine. I chose simple food and it was good. Overall, a really nice place to spend the time at. Great facilities, lots of accessibility support and nice chilled out vibes. Cost is a little bit more than average.
Very friendly staff. Nice venue and the food and prices are both very good. I would definitely recommend.
