Have been here a number of times before as it's family friendly (we have a 1yr old and a 5yr old), good value for money and the food good. On our last visit tho (25/03/18) we were disappointed! The place was clean (including toilets) and welcoming as usual and we were seated promptly and given a highchair but that was as far as it went for good service. Asked if we could place our food order at same time as drinks but was told by the young lad, that he would come back. He never did and someone else came with our drinks. We asked her and she said she'd go get someone but no-one returned. Bailed out by the lady who seated us and who apologised. Food came quickly which was well presented, of a good portion and warm. It was however very dry and salty and the ribs I had, were tough and fatty. A little let down by this experience but will, in all probability, return and put this visit down to them having an off day!

Dropped in on Saturday lunchtime for a meal. The staff were superb, the food was good and the gluten free selection was good. We really enjoyed the gluten free Burger, the hunters chicken was a nice big bit of chicken, cooked very nicely and not dry, and the Ham in the eggs and Ham was nice large thick slices.

The prices are reasonable, compared to places near us, and don't forget to use your Springfields discount card.

Overall, a very pleasant dining experience. We will certainly be back again.

Amazing customer service from the second we entered the door. 3 different members of staff dealt with us and all were just as friendly and accommodating as each other. Would definitely recommend to families of all ages.

My husband and I and my two sisters visited on  5th October.
It was midday and tho a few tables were occupied the place was actually half empty. I requested a table for four and we were directed across the room to a cramped table against a wall. There was a nice circular table which we asked if we could use and were told "no, those are reserved for people with wheelchairs".
 This obviously is the right and correct thing to do, we had no problem with the policy.  BUT, as noted half of the restaurant was empty including another circular table, it was quite a quiet day.
We told the young gentleman that had showed us the table we were not happy with the cramped table and would rather a bigger one , to this he said it was not possible . We then said we not stay. His wonderful reply being ok goodbye.

It's a shame as the food in here can be good. However the levels of customer service is just not acceptable and is best descibed as appalling. Food served up to 9pm. Not. You will need to be sat down way before 8.00 if you want food. Earlier on a Saturday. In my case I was treated like a hindrance rather than a paying customer on more than one occasion. I often work in Spalding , possibly twice a week and always used the Kitchen but no more. It's cheaper, more friendly and a far better experience across the road
 Take my advice and avoid if you can
