Good portion of mussels but taste wise it was ok. Calamari was decent too. Buttered prawns and dessert were nice. Duck on the other hand was amazing! Would definitely come back for it again!Food: 5/5
The food here was gorgeous. Our whole party was really happy with everything they had. The chips were ridiculously good. They were clearly understaffed but still managed to give excellent service. Will definitely be coming back.
We had lunch with friends on the terrace, and everything was delightful. The environment is super pleasant. The staff easygoing and attentive, making you feel welcome for real, and paying attention throughout your stay. The food is excellent. Everybody in our company ordered different things, and all had their "wow, this is so good!" moment. We were so happy to realize something like this is available in our area. It was our first visit, but surely not the last.
Always enjoyed my meals at The Kitchen, last meal wasn't so great. Starters were good, the mains 2 pasta dishes were alarmingly similar in taste, and too intense with the tomatoes flavour.. almost like concentrated flavour? Wine was good, but I will only return for Lunch or Brunch as none of us overly impressed with dinner.
Nice place with friendly staff and a somewhat eclectic choice of food. There looked to be a lot of vegan/veggie options. The all-day breakfast was good, although at 3pm the beans did look like they'd been warming since 9am, a minor issue that didn't bother me enough to stop me. Nice clean high chairs available for the toddlers too.Food: 4/5
Wanted a nice romantic dinner with my partner. Reviews were very encouraging. Booked a few days in advance for a Sunday and had a look at their menu beforehand - menu was limited... however, their roast sounded nice. Was very nice weather so customers were sitting outside. We wanted to sit inside and it was completely empty. We walked in and I told staff I had a reservation. I did not feel welcomed by them, they seemed quite rude at the start. We got offered a seat and we politely asked if we could sit elsewhere as we didn't want to sit directly next to a window and they said no, it's the only two seater table although the restaurant was empty, we were the only ones inside. Was disappointed by the food selection as I didn't really want a roast or anything else on the menu. Decided to order a pork belly roast and my partner ordered a pasta salad. Our dishes came and it looked delicious - see photo. All of it was so salty that I was unable to eat any of it. Pork was dry and struggled to cut it. Yorkshire's didn't taste nice at all and potatoes were salty and undercooked. Very disappointed. Sent the meal back and told them it was salty, they offered to take it off the bill which was very kind of them. Went home hungry. Will not be returning.
The restaurant is amazing. The food is very delicious and tastyFood: 5/5
The dishes we ordered were good, but there was no fish or seafood at all that night, they'd run out. That was disappointing as I didn't want meat, so it limited my options. Whilst the atmosphere was cozy and buzzing in the front part of the restaurant, we were stuck at the back by the kitchen, where it we less so. Staff were friendly. The margarita was delicious, but the white wine was on the warm side. I've had fantastic brunch here before, and was slightly less enamoured by dinner, but will give it another go sometime as the less positive things were pretty minor.
Food beautifully present and delicious. We were a group of 8 and staff went to great lengths to ensure we had a really enjoyable afternoon. Super friendly and helpful. Will definitely be going again.
I’ve been many times to this restaurant which is one of the best of Walthamstow with many options to choose from. Their Sunday Roasts are amazing! The only downside is the prices that have increased a lot in the past year especially for the Christmas dinner. They could also improve in the waiting times.
