Love the new owners love how relaxed I now feel in there which I didn't before and OMG you have to try the food it's out of this world good home made food at honest prices too what more could you want eh
Nice and friendly, loads of outside hidden at the back space. Also has separate individual overnight stay cabins. Sky sports, pool table and serves food, not tried yet. On the downside, toilets needs paper hand towels or drier, single hand towel not good. No holder for toilet roll and not the best on taps very difficult one sunk to use, got soaked. Outside area overlooked by the flats, could do with higher hedges for privacy.

As I can't give 'Zero's Stars, I have to reluctantly give 1. Do NOT under ANY circumstances think about staying here!!! Arrived at 9.05pm all the doors were locked and the landlady was about to go to bed!!! Let us in, eventually, informed us we could have the 'Double' instead of the 'Twin' as advertised as there were no 'Homeless' people staying there that night. She said put the heater on when you get in as it will 'take the edge off the cold in there's. Outside in total darkness, got to the room, it was Cold, Damp and the Smell told you it was too. The light in the bathroom didn't work either... an absolute disgraceful place. We picked up our bags, turned round and walked out, got in the car and drove off into the night to find a proper place to stay. Taking the 'Hit' on the fact we'd paid for the dump.
First visit to the restaurant in the Kings Arms. The place was very clean and tidy, welcoming. The staff also were very pleasant and most attentive. The menu was extensive and varied enough, as you would expect from a restaurant offering home cooked food. The food was somewhat plain and simple, but very nicely done. This is not a criticism, only a statement. As is my satisfaction with plain and simple! We scraped in for a table in the first sitting of the evening, thanks to the chap, who took my late booking, managing his availability well. Only criticism was we had the table at the front window and the traffic through the door was pretty heavy. We will definitely spend some more of our money here!
Fantastic food at a fantastic price. Ordered the vegetarian option and was the best meal I've had in a long time. A nice atmosphere and friendly service. Compliments to the chef.
Been there around August 2020 amazing food home cooked food. Been there today terrible food. Pure frozen fried food not much in term choice anymore. Nice place for a drink though
Booked 2 double rooms over the phone. Was told when we got there they no longer rent out their rooms. Couple of calls laters we were shown to 2 double rooms. Rooms clean and adequate for purpose. The room I stayed in needs a new mattress. What was on the bed was lumpy, and not serviceable. No food on site eventhough I was told the pub does food! Not anymore apparently!! It's such a shame. This could be such a great place for guests. Lovely open area at front of chalets for children to play . Needs some TLC
