Very enjoyable 2 nights stay here including dinner on first night. Excellent spacious bedroom and en suite bathroom. Very peaceful location. Excellent value accommodation. Highly recommended.

We booked the huntsman room for a tea party for our 5 year old daughter and 13 friends, I had booked a couple of months in advance and wrote numerous emails about what food we wanted and how we wanted it set out. A few days before I popped in to discuss the food further and chat about other specifics, we had said that we would provide the teacups but everything else we asked them to supply, including table cloths napkins etc. We also asked that the food was on the afternoon tea stands, and if we could have fruit and veg sticks in little pots (disposable trifle/jelly pots which I offered to supply) I was told we didn't need to supply them and they would sort it for us. On the day of the party, the tables weren't set out as we asked, there were no plates or napkins out, the sandwiches came out on enormous platters and the veg sticks were in 2 large bowls, the fruit was chucked all together in another large bowl with 2 spoons in it. The staff told us they only had 2 stands and the cakes would be on those, I said I found it hard to believe they only had 2 as they serve afternoon tea regularly, we spoke to the manager in the end and low and behold they found more stands, in the meantime all the kids are sitting at the table waiting for the staff to take the food away and put it on stands like I'd asked in the first place. If this had been a rushed decision to have a tea party and I'd asked them last minute this could've been excused, but I had numerous conversations via email and face to face up to 2 months prior to the event. A real shame as the food for my grandfather's wake was superb but that was over 2 years ago so maybe there is new management. I would not recommend as staff don't seem to listen to customers requests although they did apologise and the kids had a good time in the end, just annoying that we had to complain before it got sorted out, and when you pay for afternoon tea that's what you expect to get.

Always a complete pleasure to stay at the King's Arms Hotel & Restaurant. Rooms beautiful well designed & clean with wonderful bed linen. Breakfast is usually included n didn't fail to disappoint with great selection and choice. Sunday roast is a special favourite and dinner is especially good also is the wine list. The staff are always polite and friendly and more especially since I've become a regular customer of theirs. I've booked my next couple of visits already and can highly recommend xxx

Excellent hotel. Super comfy massive bed, excellent rooms and friendly staff. Only a few small negative points, three blown bulbs in one room, stain in carpet and nowhere to out your shower gel/sponge. Excellent breakfast. Restaurant is very nice, solid oak tables, very nice atmosphere. Waitresses very pleasant and professional.
