Bought made to measure trews for my son and I for his wedding and hired the jackets and waistcoats for 2 separate celebrations. My trews were a perfect fit, whilst my son's needed adjusting because he'd lost weight. With a week to go before they were needed, the Trews were adjusted in plenty of time and with no fuss. I have to say that the service and quality provided by 8 Yards was exceptional and particularly big thanks to Natalie who took ownership of our hire and aftersales etc with so much professionalism and personal attention. I cannot sing this company's praises highly enough. Many, many thanks for making our various celebrations so memorable and stress free. X
Great place to go for a kilt the service is fantastic and the staff are brilliant wither your renting or buying a kilt you will get great service. I was unsure what I wanted for my outfit for my wedding and Kevin helped pick out and Taylor a outfit for my taste and style and was always available for questions and giving regular updates on the outfit itself I honestly couldn't recommend this place any higher.
Beautiful kilts for our wedding, managed to get 6 kilts for our wedding party within 3 weeks of going into the shop, the kits where absolutely amazing the boys all looked so handsome would definitely recommend this shop if your looking for a kilt! Thank you again!
Full kilt hire for two, plus some extras. Everything was professional and so friendly. Kilt was available. 24 hours earlier than expected which was a huge help. Outstanding. Can't recommend highly enough.
Every interaction I've had with Eight Yards has been amazingly positive! In the first instance Kyle was in touch via Facebook Messenger and took me through options for masks, and then helped me in producing a wonderful Tartan Flower, custom made as a hair clip for my Goddaughter! Unfortunately, my original mask was lost! My fault! I think it fell out if my pocket! however, on seeing my Lost & Found post on a community group, Conor got in touch and offered to produce a replacement free of charge! Despite my attempts to pay in store, I was reassured it was free gratis! A wonderful gesture for which I am very grateful! This afternoon Kevin took me through various options and tartans for me to get my own kilt made! Honestly couldn't be happier with the service and the quality of products I've got from these guys. 10/10!
Great service from Natalie and Kevin from the moment we walked in to the end. Hired for a large group, it was no trouble for them and all the gear was top quality. Thank you, we will definitely use 8 Yards again.
Son arranged wedding hire on basis of a friend's recommendation. Having visited for measuring, I can see why. Totally professional service from Natalie? and Rebecca? completely exceeded expectations.

The quality of the kilts was awesome as was the staff at the Musselburgh Store. We had to rearrange our wedding date 3 times due to Covid19 and this was not a problem for Kevin and his team. We even had to change the people on the booking due to some not being able to travel and again they were brilliant with the changes. Everything was thoroughly checked prior to us taking the hire away and any slight changes and alterations were made there and then to make sure everything was perfect. I can't thank them enough for their patience and help. I will be back should I ever need to hire again and I will also be taking advantage of their brilliant deal for buying after you hire. Thank you again for all your help, I cannot recommend this store highly enough. Brilliant staff, brilliant quality, brilliant service throughout
