Great little pub.nVery friendly staff and locals.nDog friendly. Our dog was treated like she was a regular with three different customers giving her a treat from their own collection!nWe had food. Loaded fries and beef lasagne. Both good healthy portions and very well presented.nWe’re in Looe for 4 nights. We’ll come back every day for definite.
We visited for dinner and drinks recently while on holiday in Looe, we had a large party who needed a booking on a Friday evening and The Jolly Sailor were really accommodating. The staff were really friendly and kind to us and our children. The food was unbelievablely tasty. We had many different items from the menu in our party and everyone loved their meals. I have to recommend the fish pie, it was beautiful, packed full of fish and the veg was cooked perfectly. The chips are super chunky and soft and all the children loved their meals. The kids chicken nugget meals are made with chicken breast chunks in a delicious batter. All the meals were fairly priced for the quality and quality of food and we really enjoyed our visit. We will definitely return the next time we visit Looe albeit it a 7 hour drive!
I have stopped in Looe loads of times but never at the Jolly Sailor.nThe pub was brilliant. Staff friendly helpful and polite.nThe room was very clean and bed very comfortable.nUnfortunately we only stopped 1 night.nBreakfast excellent. White linen table cloth, candle, flowers all on table lovely.nThe lad who served us again helpful and friendly.nThank you would recommend the Jolly Sailor.
Brilliant Pub Grub with Classic pub dishes done very well!! The menu looked standard for a pub when we looked at the door, but we were really pleased with all of our food. The chips are amazing, no idea how they made them so good. My burger was cooked just right and very tasty. It's well worth a try.nnInside it's all beams and history, with some great stories to look at on their website while you wait for food. The place was getting full when we visited at about 6pm on Saturday evening, and by the time we left there were no tables left. It' a popular pub that serves food, I had no idea the place was a functioning Inn as well, google thinks it's a full blown Hotel....
Oldest pub in Looe and it's got so much character to it. The owners Zoe and Gary are very friendly and so is Laura who is staff. We stayed in the King room and it was fantastic. Very spacious, decor was on point and tasteful. For the rooms I deducted one point because it didn't have a walk in shower even though the bathroom was spacious enough. For me it's difficult to climb into the bath because of mobility problems so a walk in shower would be great.nThe breakfast was really tasty and well cooked by Gary. Perfect poached eggs. This was included in the price of the room which was very reasonable. I would happily stay here again. Keep up the good work Zoe and Gary. Forgot to say the evening meal was good as well. All in all a lovely traditional pub.
