We stopped off for lunch as we were passing with our one year old and three year old daughters. The reviews saying children are not welcome is utter nonsense The bar staff were welcoming and straight talking with humour - if you are a bit of a snowflake and easily offended by your own shadow then I guess you will probably join the other one star review warriors. Anyway moving on.....we were pleasantly surprised with the food and its the best pub food we have had in a long time. The only downside is we live 2 hours away otherwise we would visit more regularly. Its not cheap but the quality of the food makes it worth a visit!
We were a group of 8 who needed a last minute booking for Sunday lunch. Telephoning ahead they were able to accommodate us which was brilliant.nnThe roast was absolutely delicious. Service by Megan was wonderful. She was incredibly helpful and nothing was too much trouble.nnThe roast was a choice of three meats beef turkey and gammon you could have a regular or large portion. Veg was served separately as in a large dish. There was lashings of Gravy on each plate. An all round satisfying Sunday lunch.nnThank you for looking after us so well.
Really disappointed that despite directly contacting and admitting a mistake with a booking online, explaining that we would be rebooking the room for tomorrow, that the hotel would not entertain a refund for last night. This is for charity 'business' purposes too. Rebooked elsewhere for this reason and removed the hotel from being able to been seen for future booking choices.
Thank you Harbour Moon for a great staycation.nWe received a warm welcome, with all information.nThe room was beautiful, well presented clean & tidy, with perfect views over the harbour. The room was very cool during the day & night. The bed was also perfect, we both had great sleep.nAlso a big thankyou for the little extras of milk, juice and breakfast bits, plus the fridge in the room was a great help. These were some nice extra touches.nWe stayed a couple of days and couldn't fault the place. We would have preferred parking, but we do understand parking for staff is precious.nWe would like to say the staff who were very proffesional polite and happy, plus they looked after us. Especially the two ladies in house keeping. very friendlynIf I was to stay in looe again I would look forward to coming back to the Harbour Moon.nI would and have recommended to family and friends, because it was all a great price. Very reasonable rates.
Family friendly and dog friendly, hard working lady behind the bar serving food, drinks, cleaning and very welcoming.nFood really nice, big portions, would definitely recommend.nThank you
