For the past 4 years The Jolly Fryer has been our local chippy and has been consistently top notch with crispy batter, meaty fish, great chicken, massive onions rings, perfect chips and amazing staff.Food: 5/5

Best chippy in Carryduff. Decent portions and reasonably priced. Can order by phone or online if required. Have previously had deliveries also.

Great little chippy, kind of has a monopoly on the area and tends to be very busy. The food's great though. Delivery takes forever so maybe just pop in. And it's beside a cemetery

Very slow service, because everything cooked as order. Also phone never stopped taking orders. WELL WOTH THE WAIT. FOID DELICIOUS. Superb service from hard working staff. Can highly recommend this place, be prepared to waith.

Good traditional fish and chip shop in Carryduff. I got a lovely big bag of chips and happily ate the lot.

This is one of our local chippies, and the food is of great quality. We called close to closing time as the aroma of the food was making us hungry while we were out for a walk. There were a few other customers waiting when we arrived. The chef chatted to everyone on a personal level, which makes most of the customers go back on a regular basis

Ordered just a bag of chips and was charged £3.30 and I have to say the portion was rubbish.  I was handed the paper bag with the chips wrapped up so didn't see the portion until.i got home. So not impressed at all.

It's been a while from we had a dinner from The Jolly Fryer. It didn't disappoint. Absolutely delicious. My husband would be fussy when getting a cod supper. But he even commented that it was the nicest fish he had in ages.

I'm. Not a chip shop person but the hunger over took I stopped by on my to my grandads. Nice warm welcome by the staff. The chips where freshly cut and had a home made taste. And the burger was one of the best I've had. Will definitely be back
