Staff were lovely and accommodating and totally understanding and appreciative of the critical feedback of the meals served. As the video shows the food was burnt to a crisp and made a ding sound when hit against the bowl, not acceptable at all! Would give a second chance if in the area. Good beer selection and a bit pricy.
Only came here for a drink with a group as we were walking along the Lea navigation. There's a lovely beer garden which has benches that over kook the river. Inside you will find a cosy pub with lots of tables and a menu that has something for everyone. The staff are super friendly and service was quick.
Let's start with the good: it's a nicely set pub, right by the River Lee, so a nice pub to stop at whilst walk Ing down the river. And the McMullen ale I had was excellent. Service was good too What wasn't so good was the food. Yes, it's quite cheap, but quality's not great both fish and chips were poor fish batter was best described as soggy, and my fellow diner's steak and ale pie was no better. Conclusion, drop by for a beer, but skip the food.
Food roast beef was delicious. Sadly the delivery of the food was slow, a 50min wait for our mains. Then only 2 desserts came out. The remaining 2 came after the first 2 had been eaten. Staff were apologetic and helpful, it was a very hot day.
Nice choice of beers. Superb food. Lovely service. Great view over canal. Dog-friendly. ***** Very limited car parking is only spoiler.
I fabulous little pub with inside and outdoor seating. Great menu with something for everyone. Frequented by narrow boat owners.
Good value and good food. Had the Sunday roast sharing platter, there was loads and the beef was cut in ver thick slices. Unlimited potatoes and gravy. Highly recommended. Service was good to start with but got slow after the main course.

Very nice bar not the best service bar staff tend to ignore you until you speak up. outside area is very picturesque alongside the river Bank. Can be very nice on a summers day. Food is very good thought it pricey until I see the quality and portion size. Beautifully fresh salad everyday. Although the chicken seasoning is not to my taste. Mango and lemon?? Unheard of anywhere else
I am a big fan of reviews and was looking forward to eating here this evening30th Jan 23. Was not disappointed the 4 of us all enjoyed the mains and desserts. The service was very good. 10/10 Loved it ++
