First time in renovated pub. Can't fault it . Clean smart food good value .drinks not too expensive. But I found staff so pleasant and friendly. Better by a mile from before. I hope this carry on. Will definitely be back. A
I have been going to the Jolly Fenman for the past forty years. It is always a good stop off whether you're looking for a quick pint or two, you want to watch some sport or you are out with the family for a meal. In the summer you can enjoy your food and drink in the sunshine, when the English weather allows. There is a good range of food, but there sometimes can be a wait during busy times.
Recently refurbished to a good standard and much improved inside and out. Great facilities outside with sheltered seating, tv's, lighting and heaters. Unfortunately this is all marred by poor housekeeping, outside tables not wiped down from the previous day, dirty ashtrays, cigarette butts and litter all over the ground surrounding the tables. Orders are taken at the bar giving your table number, food is delivered with total disregard to this and the waiter shouting "who ordered ...?". Food is good but orders are slow and items from the menu not available. So the same old problems are still there which is down to poor management and spoiling the great improvements.
My son and I go to watch the football , always friendly staff. It's pub food and drink, so something to eat and drink while watching. Great banter with everyone in the pub too.
Visited the newly refurbished Fenman what a lovely pub the staff are very welcoming there are a large variety of drinks and the choice of food is amazing you need to down load the green king app if you have allergies you will be surprised how many dishes there are the mango chicken skewers are brilliant there so much to choose from at a reasonable price
It is a good solid pub to go to for a meal and drinks. It is Greene King network so menu is pretty standard and quality of food satisfying. The range of beers is very limited though.
Great place to watch sports. Lots of TV's Very nice decor. Classic pub grub
A very busy public house with a great selection of food and drink, it was refurbished recently and is very bright and airy but still remains warm and inviting.
Had lunch there with friends on Saturday afternoon, great service, great food. Definitely planning to go back at some point
Booked for 10 people - no waiter service so had to queue at the bar to order everything. Food not very good. Chips dry and tasteless and steak tough. Loud music so difficult to talk. Must be better pubs in the area.
